Chinese new year caused a bit of a delay in production but they are getting made as fast as they can be. Tim wants to have plenty of blades for everyone at launch.

There was one small shipment in March and the larger shipment should be arriving this week or possibly the next, depending on our lovely customs agency. The reason it takes so much time is Tim specifies a really tight tolerance in blade matching so you have to produce a lot of blades to have enough that match. That takes time, combine that with Chinese new year and customs and here we are.

The Cyclone website will have them available the second they are. There is also a dealer list on the site and those places will also have them available. Not sure what to tell you is the 'best'.

Only Fine Helis has a few "B surface" 715s for $100 a set. They have slight defects in the paint or gel coat, but they should fly the same as the "perfect" ones. I picked up a set to try as my first 715s but haven't flown them yet.

Experience is something you gain only after you need it.
I wouldn't mind social media so much if it didn't involve people.

I just flew the 715's main and 115's tail today, and wow: very cool in several ways:
  1. I love the wisp noise during spool up, spin down, and during autos. Very unique, and resembles a full size helicopter.
  2. I LOVE how they slap and crack the air with hard cyclic & collective jams! Awesome effects.
  3. Hang time is noticeably improved during autos, as well as just hitting throttle hold a few feet off the ground. It descends smoothly.
  4. Out of the box, I had perfect tracking while my grips were at zero degrees pitch.
  5. I had to increase my tail gain.
After Tim Jones shared at least 10 minutes of technical detail on his design approach and line of thought in the purpose of the blade, he won me over just by making sense, and even addressed Calculus! After that, I was impressed and very curious to try. Today was the day, and only 6 flights. I'm sure I'll be more surprised as I fly them more.

Because of the wide taper at the tip of the blade, I had to dremel away plastic on my pitch gauge just so it would fit! Even then, it was a bit snug slipping on the pitch gauge.
