Default Motor temp question

Hi all, new/used Warp owner here.
I have been bench testing with a YEP45 and the stock motor. Belts are in place, all blades are removed.

I was going through the programming on the YEP and am using these settings during testing
Brake-off
Battery type-auto select
Timing-18 degrees
PWM-12
Gov-off

Seems to run smooth, aside from the motor grind at startup, lol, but after running for literally about 1 minute, the motor seems way too warm. Not too hot to touch, but way hotter then say my X5 motor or any other 450 motor I have used.

Is there a different timing or PWM setting that should be used or does this motor normally run hot? I'm really not too clear on how these settings interact with things.

Using a 6s lipo
Thanks in advance.

Default BENCH TEST

bench testing doesn't provide any airflow so it will get hotter but mine runs cool, of course it's winter.

Thanks, that makes sense. Seemed pretty quick though. So the settings should be about right with the esc?
