I have been wanting to get in to this hobby for a long time and finally pulled the trigger. I have logged about 150 hours on phoenix and just finished building the trex 450 3gx but still scared to get it in the air. I flew a few flights with a blade 450x but decided I wanted to build something that I could trust was put together properly. I have a little OCD according to my wife so I have triple checked my set up 3 times and then checked it again. Any advice for someone new would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to HeliFreak!

Sorry I can't help you out with the 3GX. Hopefully others will chime in.

Smile Welcome

Judging from your message, sounds like you're already a pilot. Counting hours of operations. That heli is a fine one, but please double check the head for lock Tite. It has none in it. I'm sure you will have it up in the air in no time. . As far as the 3GX, I have had good experience with it. I would be happy to help if you have any questions.

Welcome Jeremy to the "freak". Hey,in this hobby OCD may not be a bad thing! The last thing you want to see is parts falling off your heli in flight! lol Good luck and have fun.

I certainly appreciate all the tips. I definitely went back through the whole build and loctited everything. I just hope all goes well with the first flight with this bird. I have spooled it up and hovered in the garage just to check blade tracking and to see if anything looked funny and can definitely tell already that this bird is far superior to the blade 450x.
