Default 500X Tail pulley issue

So I got a new 500X and mine had the loose pulley issue.

Align is recommending the use of Loctite 609. I followed their direction and purchased a bottle. This stuff is insane. I got the shaft about 1/2 way on the hub before it seized. I didn't have a press so I had to pound the shaft back in with a hammer.

I highly recommend having a press at the ready as soon as you go to put these pieces back together. Drilling it and putting a grub screw is completely pointless. The 609 works damn well.

Pretty sad that you spend all that money then you have to fix it yourself.

Honestly is doesn't bother me too much. It's a new product from align and I went through the owb issue with SAB on the black nitro. Any new heli has the potential to have an issue or two.

As long as the MFG makes it right that's what matters. Align offered to send me one out or I could fix mine, it really wasn't a huge issue.

I was one of the first Trex 500X owners and I have to admit it has been a super kit. This is one of my favorite helis and one of the cheapest as well. If this is the biggest "flaw" with the kit that then I think everyone should buy one.

There is a great attention to detail in the build and how everything works together that makes it a very easy heli to work on.

Well said sir! I highly recommend the 500x, it's a nice build! (I like to build) and fly's even better! My experience with customer service has been top knotch, simple as an email, it takes less time to drop them a message than it does to complain here.
