Awesome. Make a bookmark of this vid (minus the crash heh heh) for anyone who doubts it can be flipped in a small vertical space.

(Oh and be prepared for the conspiracy theorists ratting you out for your obvious use of custom made lipos and top sekrit skunkworks brushless motor...)

Watching that pore ol' mcpx get thrashed (in a good way!) makes me feel a bit for the whole fleet of them out there getting smacked into walls, ceilings, concrete, etc all over the planet right about now....

Well, it actually happened -- I provided a pointer to your vid as evidence this little heli really can flip in a tight space, and it looks like some folks are inclined to assume it takes hopped up batteries, motors, etc.

Now, there is nothing wrong with that if that's what it takes, but I'm not sure that yours has been hopped up.

Would you mind telling us if you've done any mods, or is that really out of the box performance, with only whatever set up you did to radio and adjustments to heli?

Thanks for providing the vid, and for considering sharing any tips you might have for the frustrated would be stunters out here...

Hey how goes it

That video was made with stock batteries, only difference is the see saw bearings from the trex 250...everything else on it is stock.
Only got the hyperion batteries yesterday.

Happiness is directly proportional to a fully functioning heli....

100 % just stock settings no expo full rates i got sick of splitting tail shafts so used a 250 boom support u have to resolder the horrible connector so i just cut the wire in the middle and soldered (or sodered as finless says) in the middle
now when it splits i just have to replace the shaft 6 bucks for two cause the motor and wire are usually fine and I just rerouted the cable to the outside with heat shrink

I also extended the tail shaft by 10 mm doesnt blow out as much and put 250 see saw bearings (stock are shit) in blade grips (use a tweezers inserted into hole and let tension hold the bearing and just squeeze to let drop in place ) with balls facing out, they bind otherwise

u have to be really mindfull of your collective with this little beast u cant punch out, head speed just dies i also put on hyperion 320 mah u need to modify the undercarriage i used velcro and i soldered in parralell the hyp connector with original so i can use both hyperion and original batteries
just swop undercarriage when using eflite batteries as had to cut away tray for hyperion

getting 5 min out of them in idle up 1, with 30% left in the tank and only 2 grams heavier but i've noticed with this heli the brightness of the batteries or motor dies after a minute and half tops so i do all my hard 3d in that time and just funnels and piro circles in the last half of the battery, a lot harder to flip it around when its lost its brightness

dont use normal mode any more got sick of flipping over and forgetting i,m in mormal so i take off from the ground in idle up 1 with all my helis
must have done that 20 times

The video was made before i screwed around with it just the normal tail shaft and stock batteries....

I dont know if the extended tail does it any good i could be just imagining it but my theory is the further its out the more leverage it has but then again it has to travel a bigger arc to do the same amount of work so it probably just cancels itself out

Got of vid done

Nothing fancy, still learning how the machine handles. This was my 4th battery. mCPx waves goodbye at the end!

Excellent!

Thanks so much for responding.... something tells me that those changes might be just the ticket to get this guy 'being all that it an be'!
