Default Picked up a 130x. Batteries are all bad

I picked up a used 130x. Hovered well. But tried to charge batteries with the included charger and the charge light just flashed. No charge. The voltage I got this morning from a 7.7 2s. Is 6.38 volts. I just purchased 5 more but thinking about the old ones! Are they dead or can the supplied blade charger be bad.

Imo stock charger is junk. Mine never worked well. Id pick up a better one for cheap as possible. You will also need a charging cable and likely a balance board with it. 2s at 6.38v should be ok just dont use it until you get it accurately charged and can see what is going on.

I have a great charger but was missing the balance board for this type of connection. It's on its way along with new batteries

A 2s lipo sitting at 6.38v per cell is approximately 3.19v per cell. From what i understand lipos can have problems recharging starting around 2.8-3.0v. I personally rarely use mine beyond 3.6-3.7v per cell. I store at 3.8-3.85v per cell, and fully charged lipos top off at 4.2v per cell at which point your charger should say it is done charging.

You also need to charge at the right amp rating for those batteries. The stock charger is preset for that.

Stock 130X battery is 300mAh...

So multiply the number of batteries times 300 and you have the total mAhs...

Divide by 1000 to get the charge amps for 1C charge...multiply by 2 for a 2C charge rate

300mAh x 6 = 1800 so charge rate is 1.8 amps for 1C - 3.6 amps for 2C etc etc

I charge 130X batteries a dozen at a time with the 2S parallel board at 6 amps

http://www.ebay.com/itm/151692552715...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Full (balance charge) for the 2S battery is at 8.40v...and if you already have a charger, just set it to Balance Charge Mode at 2S for the proper amperage and it will take care of the rest by itself
