Hi everyone... Joining the forum in hopes of keeping better informed of upcoming events this summer. Seems like I hear of all the fun stuff after the fact, lol... I'm a sportflyer, intermediate 3D'er... Flying about 10 years now...

Default Thanks to all!

Thank you everyone...
Can't wait for weather to break here in MI.
Bored of indoor :/

I fly helicopters, so I'm also an amateur meteorologist! 😄

Hi there,

Have you tried the AMA site?

http://www.modelaircraft.org/events/calendar.aspx

Looks like quite a few events on Michigan on June. Also keep an eye on the Events that get posted here, there is an option on the top bar that says "Events" that links to the Events forum.

I also plan to go to as many events as I can this season.

Cheers!

Default Indoor

No, no ultimate soccer for this kid. I went one time, not for me... I had a very private indoor location for about 8 years. Made the mistake of telling the wrong person at experience, no longer private
I found a new place last year, keeping it to myself this time...
I go flying to fly... I'm not a very chatty person. The club events are too crowded for me.

That sucks.
Ultimate was pretty good at first. Our little group used to fly at a church in Waterford . After 2 hand surgerys I havent flown in a few years now.

Default No fun

I'm sorry to hear about your hand, surgery is no fun. And recovery can be a challenge even if everything goes well. I hope you can get back in the air soon...

Also from West Bloomfield. Live over near Walnut Lake. I fly at some of the middle schools near my house. Weather has been pretty poor. Now it is 18+ with the winds today.

Forget club events, clubs are too crowded for me period

Have no desire to watch planks fly for a hour between 4-5min flights or hear people tell me what stuff I should be using and how I should be flying.

Get my fill of people at work, helis are my escape from people/life/reality/stress/bs. Lucky there are a couple private schools and churches nearby that are nice and quiet on the days/times I usually fly.

No dogs, people or planks in sight
