Hello

I have these motors lying with me. Please suggest which one to choose for the goblin 700 KSE.

Xnova 4535-520 XTS
Pyro 850-50 non comp

It will be a 12S setup for hard 3D. I plan to run 1700,1800 and 1900.

Probably whichever is lighter. Both very powerful, and that chopper wants to be built as light as you can make it...

Those motors are MASSIVE. While they are powerful they also demanding of everything else.

The most important thing is your governor, what governor are you using. Because an ESC governor will still lose rpms even with those motors, but a flybarless governor basically will not with much less time spent tuning.

I am sharing what I experienced. I went to a smaller motor, smaller packs, and flybarless governor and overall gained performance.

Right! I have a 4530 XNOVA in my G770 and a Pyro comp 800-480 in my BT and both produce all the power you could use. Bigger than this is probably not better unless there is some reason.

Agree with jsbach - those motors are both pretty big. I've got the XTS 4535-520 in my G700 and it pulls like a freight train. For a tri-blade, I'd probably go with something smaller and lighter if possible. You won't be lacking in power with either though.

Also, FYI, you'll need to cut your canopy for the 4535

Which is bizarre because the 50xx Tareq motor fits a treat.

Yeah the Tareq motors are 5030 from what I remember so they fit. The 4535 are too tall and require some cutting.

i installed the pyro 850 with a 20 t pinion. governed at 11700, 1800,1900

at the moment it is less powerful than the Xnova maybe the pinion is mis matched. Shall i go for a 21 or a 19.'

Look at your logs as the first tool to figure that out. What's PWM look like? Any governor messages? What does HSCalc tell you the most appropriate pinion is?

The XNova 4535 may in fact be more powerful than the Pyro...

Yeah no doubt about it. Cannot see the logs as i am using scorpion 160 so i dont think it has any logs.

For 1900 people have suggested me 19 or 20. It feels just okay with the pyro.

What do you think how will the PYRO perform. Will it perform better in a KSE 700 at 1900 or Competition with a bigger pinion at around 2150
