Want to tell this to all my friends here. During the last few months I've been dealing with cataracts surgery and working with a guy out in Louisiana to trade my warbird gasser for a turbine helicopter. Well I shipped the day we discussed and texted a pic of my receipt and waited for him to do the same for me.. well the excuses started about he worked on a oil rig and his brother was supposed to ship it but he was bush hogging the flying field they owned. Even gave the name of it to me to checkout. Each day there was a excuse.

Really sorry to hear that.

If you have proof of the agreement, call the local police in his area. Not sure they would take it up, but it sounds like fraud to me.

A phone call or visit from local law enforcement may be enough "encouragement" to make good on his end.

I have every email from day one. I also know another person from Jacksonville Fl. That he did this too about the same time as Iot happened to me. He called Kaplan police and they said they could help him. To call his local police department and start things from there.

One suggestion for doing trades in the future is for both of you to agree on a single price that is the fair value for each item. You both send each other the same agreed amount of money through Pay Pal as a "purchase" for each others items so its a net wash and still a zero $ trade.

Now you have Pay Pal protection for the transaction if something like this happens and either side can get their money back after shipping if the other side doesnt come through.

Scammers will disappear never to be heard from again when confronted with this fair suggestion, as its using PP as an "escrow' fund until both sides are happy and protects you from this very situation. Good luck with your quest on this one and hope it works out for you.

Call the Lafayette, La Police Dept. They have an open case against him. Please call and help get this scum off the streets.

FYI: He does not work off shore and Does not own land or a flying field. The other place he "Lives" is San Antonio.

Hello Fellow RC Pilots. I am Jonathan Falgout from Lafayette La and I have run into this guy Drew directly.

In this thread my club was mentioned Aerodrome of Acadiana & is no more as of 3 years ago.
Same place but different people and name.
I am on the board of this Club and its current name is Aeromodlers of Acadiana.

I 100% truthfully tell you that Drew has ZERO to do with our club!!! He has Never.... Ever been part of our club.

He did come by to try to sell about $10,000 of Turbine helicopters last October of 2016. He has sense stolen from our local hobby stores and currently has warrants out for his arrest.

I being a very involved RC Pilot of 27 years, on the board of my club AOA & currently hold 3 sponsorships.... Have contacted every RC Club in South Louisiana. They all say the same that he has no membership to any club.

He is using the good people that make up these clubs.

Please be on the look out for him. I plan on making nearly every Fly In, in Louisiana this year and will also keep looking for him.

My first idea is to call the police.... Second is to just hold a normal conversation with him about buying his helicopters (the stolen ones) Hopping this will keep him busy until the police show up!

I was also scammed about Oct of 2016 from a guy in Connecticut who got away with my Very good Con Gaui NX7. I lost the bird and currently still ban from Paypal.

Here is another article. This person "Drew" was trying to meet up with me on Monday, yes, yesterday.

Hopefully they have enough on him to keep him for awhile. I am glad I didn't respond to his PM's.

Wow! Lucky you didn't! Sounds like things could have ended bad. Hope op sees this thread and is able to find his Heli.

I was trying to contact him for the victims. His responses didn't add up and seemed too easy. He wanted $5000 for the equipment.

I figured if I meet him, he would know I had the cash on me. That's why I never replied to his PM's. I could tell from his answers that he wasn't normal, putting it mildly.

I am pretty positive I made the right decesion by NOT contacting him.

I don't see where the story says he's not expected to pull through, but I hope you're right.... sounds like he has and would continue to ruin a lot of lives.
