Default Considering HCP100s, how well does it crash?

Hey all.

Lately I have been considering getting the HCP100s for my micro-3d needs as I am transition from upright to inverted flight and starting to practice tic-tocs, piro-flips and so on. For this I find the nano-cps to be too underpowered but amazing at surviving crashes (At this stage it will hit the ground I can pick it up and keep flying), while the 180 CFX is great in the air and stable (and the oxy3 I have is even better) with gobs of power I am too hesitant to fly them too hard as I know a crash will result in me spending 20-50$ in parts and 1-3 hours fixing them and end of flying session, which I do not get much of anymore. Would the HCP100S fit in between these too gabs? Can it survive a crash and fly again or will it almost always require parts to be replaced (this is flying over grass field).

How well does the HCP100s crash, I do not mind modding it so it can survive crashes. From my research it seems the main gear is the weak link and will strip if you don't hit the TH.

Are there orange main blades for it (for visibility)?
Which batteries work best for it?
and finally should I order from the CN or US warehouse (if I remeber right the CN warehouse has the newest version)?
What else should I grab for it if I am ordering from CN warehouse? (spares etc)

Thank you all!

P.S. I would be running it with a DSMX satellite.

Hi mate,

I have 2 of these from HobbyKing and they're great.
they do have flaws, but i can live with them,
-the maingear will spin on the shaft sometimes and it will slowly go down (kinda like losing power)
-the skids will snap off in the chassis (pain in the arse to remove)
-I have a piece of loose wire wrapped around the ball links so every crash i dont lose them
-I have had about 40 flights on both of them, had about 15 crashes and only changed feathering shaft and main shaft TWICE ( I only fly over grass about 5cm +)
-They will tic-toc, piroflip, hurricane, and just about anything, (i can piro-tic-toc on my 600 and 700 but either i dont have the skills or the heli just cant handle them)
-the parts are very cheap and i keep a fairly good supply, because this heli is damn good.

Good Luck mate, hope this helps.

Thanks, I will probably grab it later, for now I am going to abuse my NanoCPS and once the batteries for it die I might grab this guy.

I agree with Helinovice. I is a great, durable helicopter. I keep 2x of them in my transmitter case. Perfect when you want to stop and fly for a few batteries.
