Default would anybody buy g10 frames?

just curious if there would be a market for cnc cut g10 side frames for esky carbon version belt cp/honey bee/e smart helicopters. Would you guys buy them?

Mainly built out of g10 but custom materials are possible. Maybe Lexan with led in it for night flying.
Stock Esky cut or Direct To Swash cut (belt cp only for now, until i get my hands on anything else.
The DTS sides would be identical to each other so IF they broke you would only need an upper or lower, not an upper RIGHT or lower LEFT. This would give left OR right elevator servo mounting options as well.
Custom designs can be used for the weight savings cuts (the slots at the rear and by the battery)

To convert your plastic belt cp to dts g10 upgrade version, all you would need is the frames and either the plastic or aluminum bearing/crossmember set

Will also be able to cut just about any flat part. Tail fins, battery trays, Trex frame sides.

I think the biggest factor is "would it be cheaper $ then the E_Sky Carbon Fiber frames/panels?"

well if you are paying the same price for the esky sides, why woudnt you want the stronger, g10. On an esmart, it would even be beneficial to replace the aluminum frames because it would take more force to break the g10 than it would be to bend the aluminum. Its like carbon, doesnt bend and is stronger until you get to the breaking point.

I would be up for a set as well. For those of us still on 72 mHz this would have the added bonus of being non-conductive as well.

Actually, I am looking for a set of silver G10 frame for the e- smart. Some mods I can suggest are the ff:
1. Use a 2mm G10 sheet (silver)
2. Refer to the pics below for some mods on the frame. Some weak spots I noticed.

If you can actually incorporate this mods to the aftermarket sideplates you are going to make, I'll buy several sets.
Another thing, if you know anybody or if you can do an aftermarket delrin main gear, that would be nice and I will definitely buy a few.

i also forgot to mention, g10 does come in a variety of colors.

And yes, I can incorporate strength changes, I can do whatever you want, although if i come out with a dts frame for the esmart, the design will be completely different

AND as soon as I get the frames in production, I think delrin gears for the e smart is a very good possibility guys.

i would have to get a turnable and a 4 axis cnc controller to machine gears. You guys gotta wait on gears until I get some frames out.

The E-smart frame's basic design is as good as it gets. Just strength changes in the cutout of the stock frame will do. Another iteration of the bottom frame plate that I can think about is attached(I draw it using ms paint). Anyway the top frame's basic design is OK(I do not like direct to swash-It's a hype with what you get on performance. It is harder on the servos since you will be using longer arms and the force from the head is directly transmitted to the servo gears. This will wear the zero point on the servo pot and the servos will lose it's center quickly)

oh oh, my request is to have an opening that would give better access to the bolt on the bottom of the main shaft, trying to change gear now makes me want to throw my heli (which I've done) its the one thing I absolutely hate about this heli, why its so hard is beyond me , and I've changed alot of main gears. Make that access and I promise I will get sets for all 3 of my ES600's

Are you considering making prototype's in "any" material ? (plasics, ally, wood?)
