Great scenery at that field. Where in BC are you? I have never been to Canada but have been keen to have at look around Kelowna, Kamloops etc.

Hi, I live in Kelowna. This is my first year living here, it's nice, but the scenery from the North coast (where I am from) is spectacular compared to here, but I like it here.

The flight vid is at our field in Winfield 15min from Kelowna, the Auto Vid is at the Vernon club field, 50min from Kelowna.

Great place to visit, many things to do here.

Swapped the motor out with a hacker 400kv since I fly at 15/16/1700.
Then used some lighter packs and love it at about 10lbs auw.
Excellent flying heli.

Default First Flight of the New Season

I just flew my E700 for the First Flight of the New Season!
Wow, that model flies great. The E700 should be reintroduced. It has amazing features. My Setup is:

1 - Nick Maxwell Scorpion Motor
2 - Futaba BLS272SV servos
3 - Demon Flybarless
4 - Futaba 14SG with Futaba SBS-01C current sensor
5 - RotorTech 690 Main Blades

Happy Camper here in ChiTown Burb!

Flying mine today actually - still love this thing. Glad Thunder Tiger still supports this model! Fly amazing, and the flight times are amazing - much longer than the Align 700 models I have owned.

Flying mine too!! It's a very very nice machine and very light. One thing I love of Thunder Tiger is screw quality of their kits is amazing.

Yeah still have mine flew it some Sunday. I agree and the screws never once have I stripped a thunder tiger screw but I have broke the torx wrench on my g4 cause I used the red loctite the kit came with.

Can’t say the same for my main Heli though. I’m always having problems with the bolts on my protos Heli. Had some where the wrench would not go in the bolt heads and have broke multiple bolts on the 380. If I could fit my 4525-520 ultimate in a e700 without modding it I might of considered getting another one.

That’s what I been thinking of doing to mine. I would have to put the speed up gears back in though since I haven’t seen any 115 night tail blades.

FWIW, I've never flown with night tail blades and honestly, I think they're a waste of money. I just heat shrink some led strips to the tail boom back there and that's it.

Unless you want some cool factor of coarse. Lol. I have thought of just doing the boom also.

I'm of the "less is more" mindset when it comes to LEDs and night flying. I run them at a regulated 8.4v and I only put enough on the aircraft to discern the orientation. As such, I only put 3 strips on the tail maybe 6" long and spaced evenly on the boom so you can see one or two strips from almost any orientation.

I found that at the lower voltage, they don't "dazzle" my eyes so much and allow me to focus on the aircraft much easier.

I like that idea of lower voltage. It was really hard for me to see well enough for much. was flying with 12v to the LED's. I'd like to see how you spaced the boom lights.

Did 4 flights all together.

I borrowed the rail blades and they worked really well. I wouldn't worry about the tail blades IMO your not / or I'm not thrashing around since I can't see it. Maybe if I did it a bunch,

I saw the ones that do the message and also saw Ben and Alan do a duo flight with the MS blades
The MS blades had more LED's and were pretty impressive till a tail blade let go. But they fly like 100 times harder than I do in the day let alone night time. Hopefully someone will post the flight.

I haven't night flown in a while but I used to have two identical Logo600s with one setup for night flying. I used to fly the night flyer harder than the day bird because once you get the setup right, it is MUCH easier to maintain orientation on it and for some reason it's more fun to peg the sticks at night.

Here's a crummy video of the Logo...

Night flying 6/22/2013 (2 min 21 sec)

Seems I have another video on my channel from back when I was single. =P

New RGB led controller demo (0 min 47 sec)

I wouldn't recommend the NightMagic blades as they're heavy and not particularly stiff. I have the RotorTech 610s and they are definitely heavier than day blades. If you compared them to VTX, it wouldn't even be close to a fair comparison. If you want to fly aggressively at night, less is DEFINITELY more here because the lighter blades will always be more stiff and quicker.

Nice logo canopy lighting.
I see the 3 blade tail? Is that working well for you?
