Default 900...

Fitz is right about the 900 it is FAST!!!! I also have a EXI 500 and HDX500 and the 900 is as capable set-up wise as either of those.. I can easly get 12+- and 6-7' deflection on the cyclic..
Its easy to compare things on paper and never even seen one in person and make it sound like it is based in some factual stuff..

No Chris, but I'd like to.. The 900 would be totally killer with some CNC parts.. A nice CF frame would be nice too..

Well, that explains a lot. It does look a lot more like the 'esmart' way of doing things and a lot less like the 'belt cp' inspired 900 that you have.

Just wanted to give you guys some pics of a Blinged out 900. I don't know if this is what you guys are talking about, I haven't seen the article and don't care either. I got rid of my 900 and wouldn't recommend it to anyone UNLESS they are an ESky fan or like the looks.

And mark my words, The 900 WILL suffer the same fate as the E-Smart but its death will be much quicker.

Apart from there being much better deals available, who in their right mind would buy a blinged out ESky 900 that is guaranteed to cost more then the MUCH better HC500

Well heres some pics from last years China Hobby show, also the guy in the pic is the manager of Microheli, the one that got the main gears made and promised to make more upgrades only to bail on it, kinda like ESky, and Heli direct, BPhobbies, Ka-Planes, Heli-guy, Jag Hobbies and a few others, lol.

You'll have to excuse me though, I am no longer a fan of ESky as a company , they're losers, they don't care about their customers nor do they listen to them, not to mention they made me look like an @ss about the E-Smart by backing out after saying they would.

I still like the HoneyBee FP V2 but thats it.

Nuttcaze,
For someone who could not care less about the e smart 600 or the
es 900 you really do go to alot of trouble to get your point across
I dont remember you being so bitter.
Please remember you are not the only person thats been affected
by whats happened.

By for now,
fitzy.

yeah I'm not the only who who was affected but I was the only one thrown under the bus when ESky decided to bail on the E-Smart after promising me and alot of other people that they would bring it back. They made me look like a total @ss with the E-Smart yet they still wanted me to promote the 900??? wtf, I have lost all respect for that company.

But I hate to see people setting themselves up for trouble later, the 900 won't be around that long, there simply isn't enough of a demand for it, its worse then the E-Smart in terms of demand, the whole reason they stopped making the E-Smart was they weren"t selling them, well they are also NOT selling the 900 like they have to to keep it in their line up. I doubt their gonna tell anyone that now but wait a year when they drop it and parts support and people will see.

The 900 is not and never will be as good as the E-Smart, blinged up or not it will never happen. The 900 will never be as popular as the E-Smart (thats not saying much considering the E-Smart was only popular with a limited number of people and not enough to keep it from being discontinued though). And that is why I am 1000% sure it will die much quicker.

Not trying to rain on anyones parade with this but as ESky's Former #1 fan, I'm just stating the truth.

Well neither will I be around for very much longer so I am just going to enjoy
these two great heli's that I still love very much.
I have sent hundreds of emails and received some back about the E Smart 600
and the E Sky 900 with the same outcome as other people with no results.
But nutt's if they were to get some good advertising and the right people behind
them they may have some sort of chance.
Instead of them getting the brushoff.
The E Sky 900 is as I have said before a very good heli to fly and it looks great
as well.
When I saw the Flight check in the magazine I thought that maybe E-Sky are really
going to try and get there brand out there.
The RC Heli guy's give it a fairly good rap.

Nice to talk with you again,

fitzy,

Nutt's,
just a couple of things you may like to answer for me,

1/ Why did esky give the esky 900 to rc heli magazine
and let them do a flight check on it. ?

2/ Why when I email esky to find out were I can get one
they don't reply to me. ?

3/ Why when I email two of the guy's at rc heli magazine
about were I can get one neither of these chaps have
replied as well. ?

4/ Why doe's the person that I get my esky 900 parts from
not have any idea about this heli. ?

5/ What is esky doing by going to all this trouble and then
there is no heli. ?

I hope you can answer these,

fitzy.

I have the August 2010 issue of RC Heli and the Esky 900 reviewed in that issue is not the same 900 being sold by Xheli.

The reviewed heli has a different frame design and a completely different head design than the Xheli one.

Interestingly, the 900 on Esky's website is also NOT the one reviewed in RC Heli.

I have been watching all the Esky resellers websites, but the heli reviewed in the magazine is not on any of the websites.

I'll keep my eyes open.

I intend to buy one if and when I can get one like the one in the RC Heli review. I'll post any new developments.

BTW, this isn't the first time RC Heli has reviewed a heli you can't actually buy. As with everything, read carefully...

I read the RC heli mag with the Esky review and they rated it ok, but I have to ask the question of why anyone would buy this heli over something like an Align Trex 500, Protos, Atom, or something of better quality? If price isn't an issue, then why buy it? If price is an issue then I can see why people might buy the heli, but I would rather save up and buy something better.

I used to own an Esky Belt Cp when I first started in this hobby, and I remember thinking it was the biggest piece of junk. It never flew great for me! If this 900 is anything like the Belt Cp, then forget it. I do believe the Esky is good for beginning hovering and all, but not flying anything more than circuits. Its going to be hard for a company like this to compete with other big name brands, unless they are going for the beginners. I'm not trying to start anything here, but I just don't get why people wouldn't buy something more 3D capable.

Yes when you really sit back and have a good look the RC 900 advertised in
the RC Heli mag is not the same in many area's as the Esky 900rc that I have
as you have noticed the flybar is under the main blades on the new heli and not
on top and it's carbon fibre with lots of nice cnc parts.
It is not as said the same as the one on the Esky website.
But I want one of the new Esky RC 900 heli's. And I can't wait to get one and fly it
RC Heli magazine say that the street price is to be announced but nothink is said
about a release date for the new Esky RC 900.

The first Esky 900rc plastic heli's do really fly nice and are rock solid and are very
quick.
Blades345 == I have got a couple of Belt cp's and I really don't think that you can
compare one against the other I personaly think the esky 900rc
heli is just a great heli. And blades345 if you do get a chance to fly
a well set-up one then give it ago you may be supprised.
Just my thoughts.

By for now,
fitzy
