Anyone seen a "tail left" blowout issue during pitch pumps?

It's like the tail is over-powering...

I've played with the gains a bit, but no luck so far

Any suggestions would be great !

Mine had the tail blow out on left turns that could not be adjusted out, it has been sent back to HH. I did not notice any tail blowout on pitch pumps but I don't do anything wild or even close to wild so I can't speak to it happening doing 3D.

Both the 130S I have tried have had issues with the tail on left turns. I have tried them with a Dx7 and Dx8 and setting up new model memories just in case I got the setting wrong but still the same issue regardless. If you try it with nanotech 450mah 65c batteries the tail kick is just ridiculous, the thing is all over the place.

Again we are not talking any 3D we are talking just a basic circuit. The shop said they tested the 2nd one before they sent it to me and it was fine but its not fine at all something has to be amiss somewhere.

I have emailed HH and am waiting for them to come back to me, both the models I have had have been unsafe to fly.

Did these gain adjustments provide the result you were looking for? If so what we're you're final settings? Cheers.

The video say that uncreasing the cyclic P gain will make it more stable. Will that make the swash return to neutral faster ?

I asked him on YouTube, he said the gain adjustments made it feel more locked in but he was getting some strange reactions during certain maneuvers. He returned his settings close stock.

Default Is it possible...

To enter the gain parameters with an old dx8 tx?
Using 450mah batteries, and the tail is kicking a little bit. Nothing bad, but annoying.
I've seen the video on it, but for the dx9. I havesnooped, looked around, and nothing.
I remember the 130x, you would use the lights on the esc.
Does this work like that at all?

I have a DX8 gen 1 as well. There is an error on the 130S instructions. Note the gen 1 dx6 is similar to our dx8 and gyro set up to gain is totally different that the gen 2 and 3 systems. Error in instructions should have the early DX8 set up in this way! I copied this dx6 gyro setup and came up with a milder tail gain setting. Give it a try!

I would love to, but I don't know how
I understand both sticks bottom left, then hold the bind button. I just tried the stick/bind, didn't do anything.
That's all I know.

Just reviewed Utube 130S bind. Press bind button and have throttle in low position and aileron/elevator in neutral middle position. Wait for Bind. (Use bind plug in heli at rear, just above boom).

That's how you enter into the pids?

No. that just binds the heli. Read theDX6i 1st gen instructions on the 130s manual. You can find a pdf version online.

Default Again, with a newer DX6 Transmitter

Another problem now. (geez). Heli "safe" mode set up and works. When I go into gain mode per instruction. Rotors jiggle, telling me that heli is ready for telementry settings adjustments. I go into telementry, roller over to Flight log, but I do not get the screen like the one I am supposed to get. Only a simple "Frames" & "Hold" screen. What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like you may be selecting telemetry from the main menu, you can access the telemetry screen by just rolling the wheel to the right. So instead of pressing the roller wheel to go into the main menu, just roll it to the right until you reach the correct screen.

Duh... Thanks Lotus 7! I tapped stick over to H6 and dropped the setting down to 90. Just to be sure, was it H5 or H6 that seemed to offer the best solution?

I am only running 375 Nano Techs. Ok in calm but with a little breeze and spirited flying in Idle up it gets pretty twitchy! As my flying skills improve and I fly a bit more aggressive, the tail twitch has become a problem.

Only had a charged 450 pack laying around, weather mild, but a few medium gusts came along. Very little, if any twitch when turning through the gusts. No wind. heli was not as smooth as silk with #6 tail trimmed down to 90! Thanks again.
