Pictures just don't capture the look. What a great helicopter!

Will definately do that Scott. Thank you for posting your build thread. It's very thorough and comprehensive. I'm trying to mod the esc mount to fit my tribunus esc.

Thank you!

Unfortunately, I've not had the time to put my Tribunus in, yet. What I plan to do is simply either elongate the lower cross member screw holes or make them slots so the cross member can slide in, with screws attached. The ESC leads will be run the same way as in the build thread.

I wanted to get the Tribunus installed last weekend, but family obligations and then work obligations took precedence--to the point of zero sleep from 9am Saturday until 10:00PM Sunday (I'm still paying for that, too). I am going to try to get it in this weekend, but no guarantees on that as I have another family obligation Saturday.

When I do get the Tribunus in, I will be sure to document it completely.

Thanks again!

Scott

I flew mine today with the tribunus esc. I removed the bottom cross member and used 3m heavy duty outdooor mounting tape for the esc and secured the 3 motor wires with cable tie to the esc cf plate.worst case scenario, the esc will dangle should the mounting tape fail this is not my permanent solution but I needed to take her up for the maiden flight.

Hi Scott,
The maiden went alright,I love the way the cyclic feels, very quick and accurate. I bumped the tail agility from 100 to 120 for a faster piro rate. I'm more of a sports flyer but what I can tell is that the cg is perfect even for my Revolectrix 3700Mah which weights a ton. Flips were nice and stable. I love the way the exo climbs with lots of power on tap.

IMHO,compared to the other helis that I have, the exo has the stability of a Mikado, quick and agile like the Goblin but the one feature it excels in is the accuracy of the cyclic.

Very good report, Isko! Thank you, sir! We appreciate the time you took to go into such detail of your maiden flight. Personally, I'm glad you like the helicopter so much!

Thank you again,

Scott

Ok so it's ready for fbl set up this weekend. The build was a dream, very well thought out design. Literally fell together.

Can't wait for flying season now

Did you make those bags? Great job if you did. If not, what source did you use?

It was a beautiful day out with mild winds, slightly gusty at times, but warm. Up until now, I've only been able to do a few tuning flights on the EXO at a little different flying spot than normal. So flying has been cautious and a little reserved. Today however, I took the EXO and G570 to my local spot and finally had a chance to stretch the EXO's wings in familiar territory. Wow! This bird is nimble, floaty and quick!

After flying a few packs warming up on the G570 and switching to the EXO, she felt like a freakin' laser guided bullet! Instant excessive power on tap, collective pops are pronounced, cyclic feeling is telepathic.

Two different birds, two very different feelings. The G570 feels powerful, fluid with a fair amount of inertia to the flight. The EXO feels like fresh air, alert, poppy and very quick...

Here's a pic for those kinda curious about size, the EXO canopy is roughly the same size as the G570.

Excellent pic! The eXo looks even bigger than the G570. It would be great if Compass releases a stretch kit to get the eXo to swing 550mm blades.

It is pretty close already, would only need about 15-20mm more boom to swing 550s
