If your BuddyRC board's interconnect cable has JST-XH connector on the charger side, you will be able to connect the parallel boards directly to the adapter in that package.

Depending on the pinout on the parallel board (input side) you may be able to use those interconnect cables. But I would not count on it, as many parallel boards reverse the standard JST-XH pinouts on input side of the board. Check before you connect. Or there could be damage.

Also be aware that Revolectrix use long 4mm banana plugs to increase the current rating. Many parallel boards only use the standard length pins and get hot when pushed over 25-30 amps. Check the heat with an ir gun during charge cycle.

Are these the interconnect cables that I need for the Powerlab charger?

That's not clear. There are two issues. If the cable pinout on the charger side is the same as the picture, the last wire is in the wrong place. On the board side, you'd have to ask Buddyrc regarding your board. There four different pinouts possible. They would need to tell you which one works with your board.

Sorry to be a nag but if I want to run the CSS software do I need to buy two of the USB cables or just one running the DPL 8x2? I will be charging two different style batteries from time to time so if I am looking at the manual correctly it looks like I need two USB cables.

I believe if you want to control the channels independently then 2 adapters.

Otherwise 1 adapter with both networked.

Ok here is what I have now. This is the XH board from FMA directly plugged into the charger and then my buddy RC paraboards connected to the fma balance board. I would rather connect the paraboards directly to the charger but if this will work in the meantime I will use it like this. It looks like the pins on the paraboard are in the correct location, neg wire is on the left anyway.

Align the negative pins on the board and the connector. That looks like the Hyperion connector. The pin spacing is the same as JST-XH so it will likely fit. The only issue is the Hyperion connector housing may be a little tight in the JST-XH plug on the Revolectrix board.

Yes it is an Hyperion connector but it does fit perfectly into the Revo board with the negative terminals lined up.

Maybe this info will help someone else as I just spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out exactly how to fully charge my Revolectrix Blend435 and Blend427 batteries on my new Powerlab 8. The Powerlab 8 does not come with presets already loaded for the Revo Blend435 and Blend427 batteries. You have to download them and install from the CCS software onto your Powerlab 8 or 6

This was very confusing to me at first since I am new to the Powerlab chargers and my other non Revo brand charger had LiHV Lipo presets loaded and ready for you to use.

Here are the steps I had to take to get the LiHV Lipo presets installed. You have to download/Install the CCS software for the Powerlab and open it up.

1. Next click on the presets tab and choose a empty preset from the list on the left. (This is where the new preset will be loaded into for your Powerlab).

2. Next go to the menu bar and click on File>FMA Default Presets>Open File to Preset.

3. This will open a window to the folder that the FMA default presets are located on your hard drive. Here you will see folders for the various chemistry types of batteries. Open the folder named "LiHV".

4. Inside the LiHV folder you will see 2 files. LiHV Blend427 High Power.PS8 and LiHV Blend435 High Power.PS8, select the correct file that matches your battery type Blend435 or Blend427 and click Open.

5. Now you will see the new LiHV Blend4XX High Power preset in your CCS software for that number preset you had selected before.

6. Next click the Update button in the CCS software and this will update the Powerlab with the new preset you just loaded from a file.

Now enjoy fully charging your Blend435 or Blend427 Revolectrix batteries with your new Powerlab.
