Default Remove bearing from autorotation hub

Is there an easy way to remove a bearing from the autorotation hub? The one-way and one bearing are fine, one bearing is stiff. There's a recess on either end of the hub for the bearings so I can't just punch.

I have another hub to compare with and bearing. That I got the one-way and bearing out by punching, but one bearing was already removed.

I have yet to remove a bearing from an OW hub but the easiest way to do so is probably with an arbor press. I don't have an arbor press but I have removed bearings from housings using a combination of a heat gun, appropriate sized socket head (as the punch tool) and a rubber hammer. Check out this post on my 550U build thread for a bit more detail: https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...4&postcount=71

Pic below from that thread showing the tools I used... Most of these techniques I learned from Ah Clem.

Oh, I've punched stuff out before (via a bolt or some suitable punch and a hole of some kind), but the one-way hub has a recess at either end for the bearing and a smaller diameter in the middle. I considered punching the centre of the bad bearing inwards, but the damage to other parts would be unpredictable.

I ended up levering the bearing with a screwdriver a bit, then found it was turning easier. Weird. When I got the thing built, it rotated so smoothly... far the smoothest I've ever had (I since tightened the belt a bit, but still pretty good).

If you don't have a press the best way to remove the owb from the hub is to use two sockets and a big c-clamp. Works perfect.

Pressing is not the problem, it's "pulling" the first bearing out that's the problem.
