The BEC was the cause, with certainty? Anyway, BEC and regulators in general are why I decide to opt for all HV in the new ProModeler servo line up, e.g. regulators and BECs are just one more thing which can fail (and in the case of a BEC, I'd just rather equip my electric models with a separate battery pack).

Latest P6 video from a flying session this weekend. Yes, I'll ask my buddy to fix the title.

Nice! Looked like complete controll at all times. No darting around - pilot was always ahead of the helicpter, not behind. Excellent!

Thanks , I practiced on a sim and a nano and went to the p6. I couldn't have done this with out the help of my fellow heli brothers Frank and Danny. Still have a long way to go but I'm in no rush, baby steps.

Looked like more than baby steps to me. And yes, special thanks are always due our heli-brothers who in this case I suspect helped by looking the model over carefully and maybe also advised regarding linkages and setup. Anyway, that was a great maiden flight, maybe the best I've ever seen from other than by an experienced builder. Attaboy!

Re: Show your Pantera Pictures and Videos!
Nice job! Sounds like it's running smooth, and your corrections look smooth and deliberate, and it looks like you have a good feel for the collective, setting it down very gently.

Thanks for the encouraging comments, I definitely have the heli bug and can't wait to fly tomorrow . I would recommend the Audacity Pantera P6 to anyone and the customer service and advice from John Beech is second to none.

Let's keep this thread going!
I attached the gear with zip-ties. They weren't quite up to the task. I got lucky, however. I have since attached the gear with bolts like normal.

Here is my P6 and Pantera 60 helis. Most of these pics and vids happened last year at the Mystic CT funfly in 2015. My helis have spent most of this year in their shipping crate, the P6 has yet to fly as it had engine troubles. But the older P50 flew like a champ last year! I recently pulled them out of storage.
I'll finally maiden the P6 heli soon I hope! My friend Johnny caught some vid from the Mystic CT 2015 Fun Fly. The last time I actually flew any of my helis really. My P6 build video

Here is a tease
The photographer (friend) took a bunch of pics but this is the only one that turned out or was worth looking at.
Going to try again soon.
