Well I promised some pictures. Here's the first. I put the Heli on hold because I was getting frustrated with it. This is the first thing I've ever painted like this. It was all from spray cans.

@ERRATIC double check your post on 8-26. I don't see a front left servo and you listed front right. Any ways I have on my receiver:

I am Confused on what goes where now.

Esc goes to throttle one of the front two servo go in aile doesn't matter which the other front servo goes in aux 1 (pitch) the rear servo is ele gyro goes to rudder. The rudder servo plugs to gyro and the last is gyro gain which goes to gear.

Okay I got everything plugged in where it ought to be. I didn't know I had extension cables that went from the gyro to the receiver. The swashplate is more level with new links installed.servos are centered up, but I haven't plugged it back in yet. I guess the next thing I can do is set the gyro but idk if the hitec hs56hb is a 1520úS or a 760. I assume I want normal not reverse, f3c not 3D, standard speed. I haven't done anything to the radio yet. I want to learn how to do this but just in case, is there an easy way out of downloading a set up on a memory card and importing it onto the dx8?

Nope... Plugged the battery in and this what the servos did. Radio isn't on. I unplugged it because you can hear the servos just screaming. It's like they're all going their separate ways until they bottom out and they keep trying.

When you plugged the servos in they jump to their center. You put on your servo horns after you power and servos go to center.

most servos are 1520 unless you paid extra for 760 you want to turn your radio on then receiver.

When I put the servos in I manually turned the servos all the way in each direction and brought it Back to center. That's not center? Ok I'll unplug the servo horns and then turn it on, off, then reinstall. I am scared to turn the radio on because it hasn't been set up. Granted the motor is still unplugged. It's all so complicated these days. No more plug and play. I don't remember having any of these problems with my first two helis.

No with out a fbl controller once you plug the in and turn everything on in the proper order they will center. Then you put on your arms. 9/10 you won't have a perfect center. Then you sub trim to get 90 degrees

Sweet paint! Will look great in the air!

The first thing you need to do is tell the servos where center is.

To achieve that you need to set a pitch rate of 50% across in the pitch settings menu of your radio.
Then plug your in receiver, the servos will center, install your arms and go from there.
After that is done then you can then set your pitch to 0%-100% in your radio.

Okay guys. I plugged everything up the way @Bm21 told me to. I set pitch curve to 50 across the board, disconnected at servo horns, plugged battery in, reconnected servo horns, then burnt myself on the tail servo. Just in a matter of a minute that tail servo was whining away like it too was pegged out and burning up. I don't have a push road on the tail servo because I don't own one. I assume I still have something plugged in wrong.

Ouch....

Your gyro was driving the tail servo without any heading correction, thus overdriving the servo.
Best to unplug the tail servo from the gyro until your ready to set up the tail.

I went back a few pages, had a look at your specs. it appears your using a hitec hs56hb for the tail, is that correct?

If so remove it and replace it with a proper tail gyro. the 56hb will not be up to the task.
In fact I use to fly the Hitec HSG5084's which is a dedicated tail servo and they where never up to the job. They claimed they run @ 1520 but I would fry them at anything over 720.
