Default MA Furion - Build Videos

Build videos on MA Furion can be found here - plan to use Scorpiom 2221-8 with a JAzz controller and Futaba 3156 on cyclic - not sure on gyro - may start off with 401 and 9257

Default Futaba arms

Figured out a fix to the problem of the servo arms on the Futaba servos - notably the 3156. Some have shied away from the Futaba servos and gone Hitec because of the flimsy cross arms needed to make the 11mm radius required - there seem to be NO 3rd part Futaba mini servo arms available.

Thought I'd make up some CF arms and came across a packet of Custom Heli Products CF arms for the TREX 600 - these are pre-drilled for 15mm but it's easy to bolt the three together and drill a hole at 11mm - then you can take the standard wheel which is a nice snug fit inside and use it to mount to the servo output shaft.

The beauty of these is that you can adjust to get zero-subtrim then tighten up the locating M2 bolts (even drill a 3rd if your like) - I can't imagine a lighter yet more rigid fix !! You can mount the balls under/over to best line up with the swash

PS - you do have to trim down the opposite CFarm to stop if fouling the canopy

The big ones don't fit, so I bet the small servo arms won't fit either.

Why not just use the Futaba heavy duty arms for the 3156?

My manual says 13mm for the servo radius. Should it be 11mm as stated above?
