Head wobble, how do you get it out?
Hello there,
I got my newest 180 flying but it has a head wobble when at fast cyclic controls or when i descend and the heli gets into its blade wash. I can still fly the heli but I can't do anything hard without it wobbling. What should I do to fix that? Just do you know, everything in the head including swash plate is in perfect condition. Nothing bent. I also have the o ring dampers and actually doubled them up. Didn't help. I think it's a gain thing but don't know.

If (as you say) all the head components are in perfect shape...
I would check servos for a missing gear tooth... The easy way to do that is to fold the blades over the boom with TH on...and move the collective stick at varying speeds from 0-100 and watch each servo for jumpy activity... Found that issue on one of Mine tonight and a servo swap fixed it |

I have seen this behaviour a few times. If the head wobble was accompanied by slight circling in a hover, then it was feathering shaft. If hover was solid then it was servo issue. As jonjet mentioned it could be a missing tooth. I've had sticky servo's cause this and fixed with a maintenance rebuild.
The other quick check I would make are to ensure all links between servo and head move freely, no sticky points.

Thanks for the help. I did check the servos and it does seem like two are jumpy. One is far more jumpy than the other. I have in this Heli the lynx servos. I opened the worse of the two and found it to have a very bad bearing. They use the same 4x7x2mm bearings as the main shaft. I didn't have any new ones so I put a used one in that's not in the best shape but far better than the one that was in there. The heli still wobbles but not as bad. I will replace all of the bearings once a new set comes in. But is there anything else I could do to get the servos to completely stop jumping?
