Default UI sensor setup issues

I'm having problems getting this thing working . Can some one help please? I have the unit soldered in ( I followed the instructions and everything is oriented correctly). I also have the UI sensor app enabled on my vcontrol and the telemetry wire is connected to the tel port on the neo. When I go to find the UI sensor app in the vcontrol under application setup its not there, Neither is the battery logbook app( that's enabled also). I'm not sure if I'm supposed to have the app installed on the actual neo unit ( if that's possible). I would appreciate any help here, thanks in advance guys

Do have a battery plugged in when trying to use the apps? Only powering the Neo will not show the apps.

Yes I do have the battery plugged in. I'm not seeing the +/- icon show up on the screen either. Could this be a connection issue? Like I said, I soldered it per the instructions and I am getting power everywhere else. Thx for the quick response

Update both the Neo and VBC to latest firmware, while doing it check all neccessary apps are loaded as well.

Did you solder directly on the UI unit, if so check the solder joints again for not shorting on adjacent components.

I will recheck. Does it sound like I am missing any steps in the process? Is there anything beside the latest firmware that should be installed on the neo unit ( I'm running the pro version )?

Figured it out!!! I had to go into my macrocell config screen under the model setup menu after powering up the neo. I then when into the configuration screen and changed the settings to digital input and output instead of DS2, dsmx, sbus, or udi. I guess this makes sense since those aren't the signal coming through the wire from the UI sensor. Thx for the assistance guys.

If you started a NEW setup it would have disabled all the other protocols. Always adviseable to start with the wizard to setup a helicopter.

Default ui Sensor question

I have my ui sensor installed it seem to be working when i connect the battery and select it from the menu the 3 bars on the top of the screen has an "N" displayed over the bars. Any idea what that means?

I think I read some where it means near field communication when the radio is close to the rx it goes to a lower power mode.
