3gx has another plug named "s.bus/bind", you can use it, but i'm not sure, not tryed!

Important is that main power arrive first at 3gx for servos power supply, then to rx..

Alternatively, you can wire up all to throttle channel.. Esc has ground and signal cable, you can add the plus/red and black/ground cables of bec in the same esc connector in parallel.. For me, this solution is the best..

Sorry guys! I think I've got information overload here
Can we please start over?
I have the 600 EFL with 3GX, DX6i and AR6200 + satellites, Phoenix ICE HV80 without BEC and an external BEC (stock). For now I can't use the governor but that's ok. I just want to know how to connect things so the gyro works in HH mode too.
There is no drawing in the manual about using a spectrum Rx, only with satellite and as I understand, that will not let me use the gyro as it is on ch5 on Tx and ch7 on 3GX
So please how do I connect my ESC (no BEC) + external BEC, AR6200 and 3GX unit?

Post n° 21..

3gx + spektrum rx is illustrated in 3gx software as "standard connection"..

The 2 extra wiring harness are for an external rx. They plug into the right side of the 3gx unit and are run to the proper channels on your rx.
If you need 2 inputs for a BEC you can use both the batt and SBUS slots on the 3gx unit. I have verified that both ports will power the 3gx unit.

Thanks everyone. Now I know how to connect my Rx with 3GX but as I have a 6ch Tx and Rx (DX6i and AR6200) I won't be able to use gyro in HH and that simply s*cks
Is it true that the gyro ch on the 3GX is 7? it's ch 5 on the DX6i

With 6ch tx and 3gx+6ch receiver, you are able to use gyro in HH mode!
Only 3gx+sat are unable to control gyro! do you understand?

Default Just about to order 700e 3GX

after reading this thread, i've decided to purchase another AR7010 for my new bird.

Seems crazy to me why would you give up controlling the gyro for the extra few grams of weight

That would indeed be crazy thing to do and I have not intention to do that mate
I've ordered a DX8 with 2x AR8000 Rx:s and it's the new upgraded firmware. I crashed though my 600N today and the engine is kaput, totally kaput and the clutch etc etc

Um if you have a DX7 there is no issue at all..
its 6 channel radios that have issues..

anything 7 channels or bigger is fine and gets all the gains.

and its not just weight but also the wiring mess.
using 2 sats instead of an RX greatly simplifies wiring and wire management.

So for a DX8 tx & 3GX with sats only which wire plugs into which port on 3GX so you can control gyro gain?

Edit: had another look, so Aux2/ch7 on 3GX is internal (no physical sens wire) & I would assign 3GX Aux2 to the gyro 3 way switch on dx8 for gyro gain levels?
Can you use Aux1/6channel on 3GX as a spare channel for lights or something else?
Cheers

In your radios menu, assign Gyro to Aux2. I did this w/ my DX7 and one Sat and am able to use the gyro menu asusual to adjust gyro gain.

could i be a pain in the butt and ask how you do this?
do you just run a servo lead into the 5 ch to the 7ch on the 3gx unit so you can control gain,

i have a friend running the dx6i with ar6200 and i dont know how to help him.

thank you

With my DX6i, I have to use the AR6200 with the 3Gx, and one sat plugged into the 6200. I cannot reprogram my TX, so I used the sbus lead from 3gx to power the 6200, and ran the harness plugs from 3gx to the 6200 to get my rudder gain on the proper channel, all is well.

I have tried both methods and it helps a bit using just sats but it is not really a big deal using an rx (plus one sat) as per my final setup:

Where do you get that mesh to protect your servo cable? I have hunted high and low for it

It does not matter as long as they are both the same.

DSM2 old receivers
DSMX new receivers
