Default When did the Blade CP come out?

I got my Blade CP a few months after it was released. and tonight in an effort to clean up I have finally put it away, after many many flights, blades motors etc I have finally returned it to its box and tucked it away in a closet. hard to believe when I look at it now I learned to hover on it and set up flybar heli's.

One day when I get my house/life organized I plan on having some sort of display case with my old heli's.

I also put the AXE CP away. and the chinook mcx.

I think it was 2006, I ended up buying one for Christmas that year rtf. It had a nimh battery pack, so I got the upgrade kit with heat sinks for the motors and a 2s lipo that didn't have a balance connector with it.

I flew that heli up until just a few years ago. It was the heli that started the sickness for me.

I also purchased Blade's CP back in 06 and still have it. It's been collecting dust in my RC room for years now,but if I cleaned it up put a battery in it she still flies just like the day I bought it.

This helicopter saw plenty of dirt naps over its time.lol But I did learn how to fly helicopters on this and it made me better in the long run. Trying to fly a helicopter without a gyro is always fun..

It was a Friday the 13th, and the release party was held in a cursed graveyard.

Other than the crappy servos, flexible frame, lack of a real gyro, crappy Hiller only head and butter soft shafts It has few other flaws.
