Default Wire stripper

I am looking for a tool that can strip servo wires all 3 of them all at once consistently.

What do you use?

What do you think of the one tool in the picture below. Supposedly it adjust the pressure depending on the wire?

I usually don't buy "junk", but these $6 strippers from Harbor Freight are a great deal! I put in all three servo wires at the same time and the strippers take off an even amount of insulation without breaking off any of the wire strands inside!

I prefer the version of that Harbor Freight stripper with the wire length stopper mechanism. Not only do you get all three wires to be the same length, but you also get all three wires to be the correct length, consistently. I cover the metal "wire holder" mechanism with regular electrical tape to avoid damaging the wire insulation.

So the red protruding part is where the wire will butt against?

By putting the electric tape on metal won't the wire slide or does it stay put every single time?

Correct. The red protruding part is an adjustable stopper. It takes a few tries to get it just right. I adjusted it to my liking a couple of years ago and I have not adjusted it since.

Without the electrical tape modification, the metal vice will cut into the insulation a bit. Covering the metal vice has worked for me very well. Maybe I can make a short video when I get home.

Thanks for the video it really looks like a nice tool.

One problem when looking at the Harbor Freight site I cannot seem to find it. Can you point me to the maker more specifically?

What is written on the handle?

And for those into metric or more expensive ones, there's always Knipex.

Grab gently with good quality side cutters and pull.

Score insulation with a pocket knife and pull.
