Default The 130X is Amazing

I finally seen the 130x in person and I couldn't believe how well it flew, and it will take a beating like the MCPX. They had a 2s 300mah battery in them and they were getting about 5min flight doing 3D. I can't wait to get my hands on one when they come out for the general public. They said it should be out by next month but we will see. I pulled my wallet out because I thought they were going to let a few go, but no such luck. They said the TT won't strip but will pop off which is good and bad.

lookin' good

I'm picturing a 130X as my next heli once I can stop crashing my mcpx in all four orientations It might be a while before that happens though. I'm not a coordinated person by nature

Doesn't fly apart at a sneeze and flies well?

If that's the case with hands on, consider me much more interested than before.

Does that Heli have a rudder servo with moving blades on a tail motor?

It has a rudder servo, and a driven tail from the main rotor via TT. Not sure if it has a one way or driven tail in auto (I'd like the tail not to be driven in an auto).

I honestly don't think that they designed this to auto - could be wrong of course, but they didn't for the 300X.

By the way, modelflight has opened up pre-ordering Just discovered that today - and of course you know about HH changing the release date on their website to mid July....

So God only knows (well, maybe not just God but you get the picture), when we get it here...

I'll pick one up from a used sale. There is bound to be people who cannot fly who buy this thing and give up pretty quickly. And your right that it most likely won't come with a one way, but I don't want to say it doesn't as I simply don't know.

You cant auto a heli that small, lol. Heck, even the 250 size (300x) doesnt really auto. Its hard enough to auto a 450 from a decent height.

Sure you can auto a 130 size, landing is the problem! But if it can take "landings" like the mcpx, then you can shoot an auto like a meteor, walk over and place it on it's skids and go again

In reality there is no reason a 130 couldn't auto, it's all about inertia in the rotor head and weight. But of course helis this small run low inertia rotor's. Place some much heavier blades on their and your good to go for auto's, 3d will not be good though!

Well, I nearly ordered TWO, but I thought the better thing might be to take it slow... else...

"WTF???11!!!11!!! !! TWO heli's?"

By the way, I'm still trying to figure this one out,

http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/in...oducts_id=8352

I just can't picture it... How? Do you think the HP05 or spin's give enough headspeed that this is actually possible?

Yeah i am sure your right same thing happened with the MCPX and with Hobbytowns around there sure to be plenty sold to newbies who needed the mcpx first.

Sure two, one for you and one for me

I seen that about 3 months ago figured it was a joke, some have them on the helis. I guess it would work somewhat. i got way up high other day and hit TH for about two secs, then hit TH off and waited what seemed liked 10 secs to have the motor come back to full power I guess with that gear in place the heli might not fall as fast as it did w/o it maybe not sure. thought about getting one just to try it out

No idea, but auto rotation has nothing to do with size, it's simply disk loading and inertia. Blades with weighted tips will certainly have higher inertia so it's just a matter of how far you go before it isn't fun to fly.

You're right! Although, the guys were eating dirt when a gust would hit. I watched a Logo go in on concrete after a good gust, so these little guys were flying pretty well in that heavy wind.

I wouldn't mind having one if its a TT. I've about had my fill of tail motors.

There is no one way bearing. I did jokingly ask James Haley if it could auto. He said "yes" then took it up, shut it off, and landed it. Of course with out the one way bearing it was spinning a bit, but not as much as you might think.

I also saw no less than 10 crashes and all of them ended in them just picking them up and continuing to fly. Of course these guys are better than most of us. I'm sure we will break them, but they are pretty durable.

I got to hold the 130X at RC Expo and it's way lighter than it looks. That probably helps with durability. This thing has the potential to be more popular than the mcpx.
