Fan Power for Tribunus

If i want to use the optional 30mm Fans for the Tribunus 120 how do you power them. Can you power them from the data port or do you have to Y-harness them into the one of the BEC lines?

I usually run mine out of the data port. I use add a third 3 pin connector to the fan power wires and use that for the data. Works fine. No need to have 3 cables supplying bec power.

Thanks that's what I thought. I just was not aware of how much current that port was capable of supplying. I plan on just running 1 fan for the time being to see how the temps are, so I will shorten the fan wire and just make a short extension and unplug the fan when i want to use the data port. The less wires, the less clutter, the less problems.
