Got the special drill bit today. Heres how it came out. Will add more picture once install.
I did ended up buying a pyro 600-09 and order a 20th pinion for it incase this mod did not work out. going to ask whats the different between this 2 motor beside 650 has more power. Looking for more efficiency than power but still having a decent head speed for mild 3d

Sounds good to me. The kits are coming with 20 tooth motor pulleys already bro.

I thought I got an 18 tooth with my kit. 8.33 / 1. I'll have to count, I guess.

I'm going by the manual. If I'm wrong, then I guess I'm wrong. The governor I'm currently using does not depend on gear ratios. In the test model, I used 20 teeth for the motor pulley when implementing the governor.

Don't take anything for granted mate, I always count the teeth on a pulley before fitting. My kit and I presume everyone else's has the 20 tooth.
The last time I checked just the other day, there was not even listed any other sizes at Experience RC or Compass Heli Australia.

Yeah you right. Ill just send it back and get store credit. For the head speed i want and to stay %80 on esc the pyro 600-09 seem a better fit.

The 20t in the manual is correct and all the kits come with the 20t pinion. But when changing the manual from 18t to 20t someone forgot to put the new gear ratio in there.

So 7.5 is the right one for the 20t stock pinion.

18t: 8.33
19t: 7.89
20t: 7.50
21t: 7.14
22t: 6.82

All right thanks for posting that, that should help a lot of people when it comes to setting the esc for the right head speed

Are the 18 or 19 teeth pinions available in the U.S. yet? Any ETA if they're not here already? I've not seen them in my searches. Dan

I haven't seen other tooth count motor pulley's, either. Keven went to the trouble to post ratios, so I'm thinking we'll seen them in the not-so-distant future. One thing we do know is that they'll be easy to swap out!

I emailed Compass a couple of days ago asking about 18 and 19 tooth motor pulleys and this was the response -
"Hi Chris,
we are working on it but no real time line yet.
Best regards

The stock blades are really good blades. Perfect balance between speed and stability IMO.
I like cyclones as well but prefer the rotor techs because they give a little more lift

I've only used the stock blades and KBDD 515's.

"I've only used the stock blades and KBDD 515's."

Same here.

The Rotor Techs are quicker, the KBDD's are smoother.

Both work well, my preference is for the KBDD's.
