APM 2.5+ / 2.9.1b question

Hello Folks,

When I fly my factory made 3DR Hexa in Stability mode it seems to fly quite well. When I switch to Loiter mode when there is not any wind it does a good job of staying in position. However, when I try to use Loiter mode when there is a moderate wind (~10mph) it starts off okay but then it gets blown a little off position and over corrects and then continues to over correct until I feel that I need to switch it back to Stabilize mode and take over again.

What settings should I change to have it not over correct? I have not changed any of the stock settings yet that came with 2.9.1b.

Would it help to load the latest version of 3.x firmware? Are the bugs worked out of 3.x now?

Start by going to the latest code. Normally you don't need to touch the loiter PID's and can just tune the standard PID's, but go to 3.0.0 first; a lot has changed.
