Default Trex Twin Chinook pinion

Hi, Nearing the end of my Chinook build and have hit a snag.
I am using the scorpion HK2520 motor and an 11t pinion
But the motor has a 3.5mm diam shaft and the pinion is 3.12mm diam hole.
Where can I get one in the UK?
Philip

I'm using the same motor but went with a 12T pinion. That gives me 1800 RPM at 90% ESC capacity running on a 4S battery. An 11T pinion on 4S would put me at almost 100%, which is too high, in my opinion.

Default Chinook pinion

Hi, That’s very interesting!
I have been following Joe’s instruction and he uses 11t with 4s!
I have got one from Midland Helicopter VIA eBay as they didn’t have any in their store.
I will order a 12t one as well just for variety
Thanks for your input

Default Chinook pinion

Well, here I have the usual problem! -I have an 11t pinion that would fit the chinook main gear, but won’t fit the motor recommended AND a 11t pinion that will fit the motor but not fit the main gear!
I suppose I could drill out the smaller hole, but I would rather just buy one.
Please can anyone help?

Great news!
I was just wondering if you had found the pinion yet.

is the main gear mod.5? How/where is everyone looking for and finding pinion options for different motors?

Check and see what a stock Align Trex 450 is.

I can't remember what mod they are.

Iv found a few places that claim mod.05 for the straight gears and mod.06 for the helical "slant" gears but was hoping someone would confirm thats what they actually got and it worked.

The straight gears and straight pinions from AMain work together, as well as the slanted flavor.
