Default Now What Does X Mean?

Well, for Eflite, it used to mean coaxial. Then when the MCPX came out, it stood for flybarless. Now the X is used in the quad for what? Being a quad, it aint exactly flybarless. Not saying it has one either, but that cant be what the X is for.
Since it can be flowen in a + configuration, I cant imagine X is for orientation either.
So, Micro Quad what? Excitement maybe?

At least there seems to be some sort of system in naming for the Blades. I will never understand the system of Walkera naming, even though I really like some of their units and I think they threw down the first glove in off the shelf flybarless everyman helo.

With Walkera, V is flybarless, and Q is scale. I have no idea what D is for though.

V isn't "flybarless" in Walkera speak, the M120 should make this point pretty obvious. If anything V stands for Virtual as in the Mikado V-bar or virtual flybar. So to recap a very old thread, Varc would mean Virtual Marc, not Flybarless Marc.

I agree that X (separated from the model m, ie: mCP x, mSR x, B450 x) seems to be Blade's own designation for FBL models and those using the AS3X system. Maybe you could change your name to Xarc for easier interpretation?

That's probably where that idea of reference came from, since the Mikado v-bar was essentially the first out there but most walkera 3-axis gyro stabilised birds are/were prefixed by V.

But there are so many models and I think nomenclature keeps changing, it's really hard to keep track of. Genius CP is one exception, so are the 'UFO's, I'm pretty sure there are more exceptions as well.

By the way, Varc, I thought your name was a clever play on phonetics Looking forward to seeing your scale mQX fuselage... If you don't get a Delorean, you should just err... make it an... Airwolf?

Actually, I found the Delorean body I was looking for. Before I got into helicopters, I was part of the Kyosho Mini-Z Racer scene and am a member of the Mini-ZRacer forums. I knew that somebody from that group would still have the BTTF P.2 Delorean Autoscale body. Sure enough, this morning somebody replied and I purchased it. I should be getting it this weekend.
I will be posting pics of my project when I reciever the body. Should be awesome to fly it with that particular body on.
As for having an Airwolf on the quad? Na, it wouldnt look right.

Only by you that I have seen. No biggie, but V isn't FBL nomenclature.

As stated earlier in this thread, the V is an abbreviation for Virtual. Not a big deal really. I was just referring to a "What's Your Username Mean" thread where he said Varc was Flybarless Marc, technically it would be Virtual Marc. It's nit-picking, I know, just came to mind when I saw this thread.

CX is co-ax

X on the product name could be thought of as 'no' as in flybar or 3 axis stabilized, or extreme it is not really locked in that sense, but the products will group as such.
