Default By passing YEP 45's internal BEC

Hey can I run my RX voltage at 6V from an external BEC without blowing my YEP 45? I just lost an HW 50 Platinum V3 2 packs after switching to 6V. Can an ESC's throttle lead have only its specified voltage on it? In other words the YEP shoots 5.5V stock. So I'd be safter to try that? What I have is a glitching YEP. And I don't know if its bad or if its picking up RF noise. This ESC has always had a glitch in it even when new. Thats why I bought the HW 50 1.5 yrs ago.

Remove red wire from ESC output leads and use electrical tape or heatshrink, still powered from pack
If using external BEC
Didn't get the rest
