Default Anyone still flying the 200SRX?

Anyone still flying the 200SRX? This forum has been kinda dead since the 230S came out. Just wondering if anyone is still enjoying the 200srx. I personally haven't been and i feel bad about it. It taught me a lot. But the 230S has me flying inverted now. Kinda miss my old beater 200srx. Just wanted to hear other people's thoughts...

Default Yep.

Favorite backyard bird. Maybe 3 or 4 times
week here. If ya got, fly it...
Every thing else goes to the local flying field.

I use it as a warm-up heli at least twice a week. For a fixed pitch heli, I still find it quite satisfying to fly.

Okay, you guys have made me decide to get it off the shelf and blow the dust off of it. My 200SRX has been so good to me, she deserves to go out and take a spin around the field. Thanks for the input!

I flew mine two weeks ago and on the second battery - POD. One main blade (8degree), and skids.

Default Something I just noticed.

On the HH web site, they are offering the 200SRX,
with a hand full of parts. I wonder if this will be the
next to be canceled/removed from sale. End of sale
life; or whatever HH calls it when they end a model.
I have to admit it has been kind of a problem child.
Myself, 3 birds, no trouble. 1, I never took out of the
box. The other 2, maybe 200 to 300 flights each.
Maybe more. Whatever happens, I got lots of spare
parts here. This is my favorite-quick-backyard bird.
Any time I need a quick fix I take one out for a few
batts. Every other heli here goes to the flying field.
So, I think I'm good here...

They seem to be selling well. I know my LHS is out and is waiting for HH to send more. I've seen the RTF version OOS on the bladeheli site off and on. I'd like to pick up a second one...maybe the night version. It's a good bird even for us just coming into the hobby.

After a couple of flights with my 230s I sold the 200 quickly. The 230 is as gentle if you want it to be, but you don't have to deal with the motor lag for climbing.

I also sold my 200SRX as soon as i got my 230S, the 200 was a little too "mello" for me after got my 230, the 230 can almost fly like a 200 but is capable of so much more...

Took mine on hols last week and flew her outside for the first time in quite a while. Really enjoyed flying her, fast passes, even faster pirros, funnels etc. Really good fun! Until the wind caught me out and threw it into a log stack while landing (that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it! )

Edit: Stripped a servo gear (for a change!) and destroyed the tail rotor. Fixed those, but now I've got an annoying 'nod' going on!

The 200SRX is a great machine. I just started flying it again and it is a blast to fly. It's my favorite heli now that i have. Before i was so used to the mSR and the 120SR that the 200SRX was like a chore to fly and was intimidating...now its my favorite of the RC collection i have...including cars.

Looking to upgrade to a 230S soon though. Possibly 180CFX.

Default 200srx

I fly mine every chance I can. I have a Belt CP also but still a little afraid of it till I get real comfortable with the 200srx. I've spent a fortune on blades and main gears for the Belt Cp.

Felixthemaster...Haven't heard from you on awhile! Always enjoyed reading your posts. Looks like you have moved on to bigger and better helis. I'm jealous, i would love to have an X3. I think the wife would divorce me though! (My next heli WILL be an X3; i hear nothing but good things about them)

I love my little srx. Of course I just got into flying a few months ago. I have already upgraded quite a few parts to the micro heli parts. Also getting carbon blades, and a 13t pinion coming for the thing. As it is now I have the head turned up to 150%. Which actually sort of creates some issues sometimes taking off. I find these things don't always bind in the most level of circumstances. Lately I have had to unplug it and rebind almost every time. Which makes me think maybe I should try to level the swash...

I only have the 200 atm, but I hope to get another X3 to replace the lost one.
