Well lockdown has ended in Victoria Australia so i can finally maiden tdf and tdr2 in next few days yay

Finally had the maiden

Settled on 2000-2250-2500 rpm
Under 2000 rpm with 106mm tails isnt good so 2000 min
Running 710mm rotortech
I cannot believe how stable and fast at 2500rpm
The helicopter is soo smooth
Beautiful but im preaching to the choir here haha

I have 3 TDR2's. I fly them as 3D only helis. The build is awesome! It's a timepiece watch and is a beast in the air. I use rail 766's for mains.

Any friends flying TDS?

I am having a massive issue with tail performance (can't do CW pirouettes ) which makes this beautiful machine unreliable and almost un flyable. Can't even get the tail stable with Neo pitch precompensation at 50

Flying Neo with Jan's recommended settings and set up (motor, ESC servo's etc.. .) Already swapped tail servo and even tried my optimum TDR II settings but nothing works.
I have never experienced anything like this
With exception of the Banshee and the Sylphide I m only using V bar (either mini or Neo), so I do have some experience with Mikado FBL...

Anybody with similar issues or idea's to resolve this issue? Maybe I should post this also on Mikado FBL

My TDS works perfectly, one has to remember that it was made to go fast and not for general flying around. I use the recommended MKS servos, XBlades 713 main and 106 tail blades. At the recommended 1400 rpm for take off and landing the tail is spongy but this is expected as it is only used for those phases of flight.

Finished the build Feb 2019 and didn't have time to fly the ship. Too many other projects and other helies ...
