Tail boom assembly

Has anybody found some alternative screws for the flimsy tail boom mount. They are a pain... I think I’m going to buy the micro Heli frame just so I won’t have to deal with them... Anybody have any feedback on this?

If you are talking about the standard frame I don't think its a flimsy mount but the four screws are a pain to do up tightly. I think they need a JIS headed screw driver. See the other thread on this. I don't have one so I have had good success just cutting a proper flat slot in the heads of the screws with a junior hacksaw and using a flat blade screw driver. You can then tighten them much harder. If the boom still slips just one very narrow strip of thin tape around the end of the boom will hold it firmly.

I have been using a small flat head on the stock screws which worked much better than a standard phillips.


I do have a JIS Set on the way to try out however.

Update - the JIS Set still works like crap. Over the Phillips heads on this heli.

I've mentioned this elsewhere. Get the Align driver set AGNHOT00002. Problem solved.

The Driver wich comes includet with Cheerson CX-20 works perfect. I dont know what type it is exactly...
