Also like to ask is the Beastx doing fine for your heli? Mine drifts during hovering (probably due to vibes) but headlock is good. Have read somewhere the beastx not suited for scale...

Sorry been busy lately.
To answer your question Yes I found those blades to be good quality for has much as I know. They balanced perfectly, If I remember they where sentas a set with close weight. I didn't have to add any tape for balancing, they did balanced perfectly as is.

Didn't had time to play too much with y helico's this summer. I bought a boat and was on the water all season.

back to the build...I'm in the process of installing the mechanic inside the fuselage. I had some delrin made of to hold the mechanic inside...the provided plastic one where aged...breaking in peace.

My question is now I want to balance the heavy tail. I put the helico on 2 chairs holding by the blades and I measured the distance between the front wheels to the ground. I added some weight on the nose to have the same distance to the floor for the tail wheel.
I figured that I need 10 oz the make it perfect.

Is that too much...I mean, do it need to be perfectly balance?
Can I save some weight and have a bit of a heavy tail?

Just did not installed the 4 blades for weight since front weight will be equal to rear weight

Just a short note on the attitude of the Blackhawk. It hovers tail down, not level. What you need to do is balance the helicopter (not by the blades but by the tips of the blade bolts) so that the main gear is level to the ground. No matter how much you need to add (battery placement helps reduce dead weight like lead for instance), you need to have the main gear level or the main shaft perpendicular to the ground, not by the body. Hope this helps and it does look good.

I made the exercise as you said:

I put a level on the main gear(engine gear not landing gear)
I lift the helicopter with my fingers on the main rotor blade bolt nut (underneath the grip). I added weight on the nose till I got my main gear level. Still need 11.1 oz.
But with the weight in place when I lower the helicopter to the ground the main landing wheel touch the ground with the tail wheel still about 1/4 inch in the air...meaning that the attitude of the helicopter is nose slightly down...not the other way around like you suggest.

But yes when I look at a video of a Black hawk landing it is like you said...tail first

UH-60M Black Hawk Helicopter Landing At Wayland Expo 10/01/2011 (2 min 44 sec)

If I put no weight on the nose It has more likely the attitude of the real one???

What you should I do?....no weight?

Yes, the balance is needed as when you make it so that the model hovers as the original, it will fly like a sack of hammers. There are two things to try. One, balance so the gear is level to the ground and fly it, the second is to raise the mechanics (if you can) so that when the main gear is level, the tail drops towards the ground. A tail heavy helicopter is an ugly thing to attempt to fly and in many cases, the helicopter handles bad enough to crash at the slightest bit of inattention. Hope this helps.

In process of adding weight in the nose. I ordered a scale plastic tail gear case. I have the pro aluminum case now...it will remove a bit of weight on the tail and as it is far it should be noticeable on what I have the put in the nose. On the 11.1 Oz I figured I need in the nose I already put close to 9 oz using lead tape under the scale cockpit

Somehow that US Navy sign with USAF sticker on the tail just does not look the part. Also the stickers are really glossy.
I would consider painting the signs myself

It's a Budget helicopter share by the USAF and the NAVY

Don't forget US Army on the weapons - it is a real hybrid, and has the Blackhawk tail wheel as well, not Seahawk

Ordered a 4 blades tail rotor from cnchelicopter
http://www.cnchelicopter.com/trex-50...l-grips-combo/

Not align quality but OK. I found that the slider had a defect of assembly...probably the sleeve was not installed properly and induced a movement that I didn't like. I contact cnchelicopter and they are sending me another slider.

Received the new CNCHelicopter pitch slidder

Now the sleeve is properlly installed but the inside diameter is way too big I have like 0.0095 to 0.0185" clearance on diameter...as opposed to 0.0015" on align part. contact Jeff at xmhobbies...he is looking after that....
