some people have the most expensive setup including really expensive servos and they can only do sport flying (which shouldnt stress your servos too much). the align servos will do, even for hard 3d, i have them myself

I've had 610's before. They're pretty good for the price.

FWIW, I would recommend Hyperion HP-DH20X-SCD over the 610's. They're both noisy as hell on the bench, about the same specs, and they're a bit cheaper than the 610's. I use them on a 90 FBL Nitro. I also fly hard 3d.

Eh? You have this backwards dude. Savox is the one that makes the Align 610's, not the other way around.

Anyways, yes they will and do work great. However, they won't last like an HV-BLS servo will. If you're not going to run them on more than 6.6V, you should be just fine with them. I beat the daylights of them on 600 and 700 size helis and I've never found a bad one. Especially for the price!

I can second the notion on the Hyperion servos. They're an even better dollar-for-dollar value, just not with as long of a track record. Despite all my (bad) luck with other Hyperion products, their servos seem to be pretty darn good.

Sorry for the late entry into this thread, but I just thought of this video. I should pull it out more often. Wish someone would do something similar with a modern electric heli.
