Forgot to add a detail... Esc came down Cool.. Motor was hot.. Not VERY VERY hot.. lets say about a 110-120 degrees .... Hold it for over 5 seconds and you would feel burnt

What would be really interesting to me is if you'd experience this power loss without changing anything except swap the old motor can back in.

Default Intermittent power loss mid flight..

Well . My old motor can had broken magnets in it when I took it apart .. Which scared the crap out of me. So that's more or less useless (no crashes on it btw)

16t new can didn't cause this or may be I didn't push it hard enough ..

I want to test that now ... Can't wait to get home and swap pinions

Everything seems to sound ok until it loses power.. Without having my fingers on the sticks I just dunno but I think you're bouncing off either current limiting or lvc.. I get the idea it's lvc because the throttle curve is so low the amp demands will be high, after you fly for a minute is when it starts.. Sounds like lvc

Go back to the 16t and just use curves for now. Easier on your batteries and you have a ton of muscle.. Gives you that raw torque back I think you might be missing

But the whole idea behind buying a Kontronik is the governor, no? That's the main reason I bought one. It was working great until it fried on the first spool up with the new Scorpion. My Castle is doing well so the replacement Koby of mine is still in the box. I might see about trying it again later this summer.

I am not gonna run curves

And yes exactly the krotronik governor worked beautifully before and setup is a joke lol

Pinion is changed to 60

And the throttle curves are now 55---70--80

Which according to mr. Mel (atv adjusted --- is 2850--3100--3300 rpm

A bit higher than I was running at 17t on id2

Lets c how it goes tomorrow

Okay Rahul, I'll look for your report.

Nice flying by the way, even though your weren't filming for that purpose.

Yeah I am at 3 minutes in heavy wind with heavy 3D or 3:30 with no wind heavy 3D at 3200RPM on 35C 6S 1350mAh packs. I am governed off Vbar. I am shooting for 3.78-3.8v per cell at the end of my flight. I think if you open the motor up it might just fix things. You can always fly 2 minutes and see what your reading voltage wise I'd hate to find out there is a drag problem somewhere eating volts and working your packs without the fun part

i could not hear what was going on that well. or how long it toook to get power back.

if its taking a long time to come back its probably not the gov gain.

i see someone mentioned LVC do you know what that is set at ?? maybe its set to high and when you hit it hard tis drawing enough juice to make the ESC thing your hitting it

Issue happened on 55percent throttle. then as you will see it took a DIRT NAP!

but oh well.. I think I got everything to fix it at home.

Aouch...
Head first with power
Hurts to see such a nice heli kissing dirt.
At least it seems it had very small damage, canopy was OK, right.
And it bogged on that "save".
Was it bogging more with 17T?

I expected to see to much more damage but it was still hurtful to watch. Can you see what is the voltage on the battery? On my YGE60 on 16t I was just running 90 flat and 100 flat. I want to tell you that your flying skills are fine. If you say the power is dropping out then the power is dropping out.. So let's do like Dr. House and make a list right..

1. Connection failure somewhere maybe a bad solder joint on motor wire?
2. Swash not level, blades going out of track on some moves
3. Drag on the drive train from a bearing or something rubbing
4. Batteries don't got it
5. ESC settings are whack or the ESC is not functioning correctly
6. Flybarless unit settings off, binding up the head, too much pitch, etc

Without flying it that's all I can think of that can cause it to drop out and come back like that.

You mentioned your timer was set on 5 minutes... is this how long you usually fly for and what hs is your normal hs?

Also, you said about 30 flights in... how many batts do you have for the warp? What are they?

Dang, so sorry to see the crash. Hopefully it will be repaired soon.

Can your FBL controller tell you if there's a voltage drop or loss? Maybe causing the throttle to go to fail safe?

Default Intermittent power loss mid flight..

I got 4 packs 2 1300 chrome and 2 gens ace

I fly slow usually just recently started torturing the birds a bit more

I hear y'all... I am gonna check the internal resistance of the batteries today and let you know what I find out

If there was any sort of voltage drop that low, ikon had to have reset and lost control. Or the satellite blinked or something. I have absolute control over it (except the crash ofcourse lol) the whole time

It'll be fixed in a half hour if I put my mind to it. Damage isn't bad at all!

Rahul,

At this point, I would try a different ESC if you have one, and see if the problem goes away.
