Aerial Rig Upgrades

This is more of a rave than anything. I was running my gimbal yaw with only the motor holding the entire rig. I saw the W.A.S.P. motor cage and it was cheaper and appeared to be a much better build. I've mentioned it before in another thread, but please check it out. I'm all about supporting someone who is right here in America, and does an excellent job as well.

When I got the motor cage I was mounting it to my Photoship One mount. Theirs is a G10 material I believe and wasn't really built for my gimbal. It was designed for the 3X gimbal shaft to go through the top and bottom plate. Trying to mount a brushless gimbal to this mount wasn't the best. The material flexes too much. Its an awesome lightweight design but I need something much more rigid. I asked Neil what I could do to stop the flex. He ended up creating a mount for me with a nice thick carbon fiber as well as stand offs between the top and bottom plate. There is zero play in the mount.

I can actualy see the aluminum tubes flexing now. I want to prevent oscillations induced by the mounting. My next step is to get a 20mm carbon fiber tube with an inside diameter of 16mm as a replacement to the aluminum tubes.

Video below is with the new mount, and some tilt bars I added. Also I was showing the heli to a friend and actually guessed at the blade tracking. Tracking wasn't even set well and everything performed well.
