Default Anyone have the inside scoop on new Futaba radios??

I love the features of the 8FG such as SD card ability with software updates but I need/want a radio with 10 channels. The 10C line sure fits the bill but has been around for a while and is looking a bit long in the tooth. The Campac storage card is a bit hokey and obviously on the way out. I could go for the 12Z but $$$$$$. So, what I'd like is a 10 channel radio with the new features of the 8FG; a 10FG if you will. I really believe in the FASST system and have may models with Futaba FASST RXs so I'd hate to change systems. Anyone have any info on any future Futaba offerings?

Thanks Stephane. I saw that in the description on Tower Hobbies and just thought it must be a misprint! Silly me!
So if I understand correctly, the 8FG has 8 proportional channels and 2 switched channels. Right!? If so, this may do the trick.

Actually, 10C is also a 8 proportional channels + 2 switch channels system, same as 8FG ! The nameing is confusing.....

Thanks for that. I handled an 8FG and just can't get comfortable with the feel of the radio. I'm a pincher and the switches are just in the way of my other fingers. Bummer. Any pinchers out there using the 8FG?

I haven't held the 8FG but I have noticed that the top switches are a bit tight when you pinch. The one thing I really dislike about Futaba's radios

I'm a "pincher" and I'm also looking for a tray for my T8FG.

So obviously I should buy the Futaba FX-20, now it has become available (in Europe).
I just don't like to pay like 200$ more for the same transmitter in another box.

I just need a comfortable rest for my hands, when I fly. And I'm sure I'll become
a 30% better heli pilot, as soon as I can hold my transmitter comfortably.

Anyway, it's a very good transmitter with a great set of features and programming shortcuts.

Cheers
Erik

I want some telemetry.
No telemetry = I buy Aurora 9.
I really want to stay Futaba, but I can't stay in the dark ages
whilst others design in new features.

I'm a pincher and have been flying the 8FG for almost a year now. i agree with the close switch proximity, the nice thing though is they are all 3 position and I changed it so that the middle position does nothing alowing me to leave it there and gain extra finger space. i absolutly love this radio and don't think i'll be buyig anything else for a long time. I'm really pleased with its fast response time for smack down 3D and very smooth sticks for F3C practice. this radio has some serious features for the price.
only downside I noted was it still only has a 5 point pitch / throttle curve, but i have managed.

Great feedback guys, preciate it.
I'm gonna buck up and go for the 8FG. I'm sure I'll get used to it. When Futaba builds their nextgen radios all with SD cards I'll upgrade.

Flerpie,
I love the idea of telemetry also but I'm not sure how I would use it in flight. If I take my eye off that confounded bird for more than a millisecond, I'm in trouble. Please let me know how you use it and what it is most useful for. Also, what's with the hitec antennae? They seem a bit on the bulky side.
