First maiden then bad bearing on the exo 500
I finaly maiden my heli after waiting for like Two months but felt like six months
On the second flight trying to set up my setting on my radio the helicopter started to make a weird sound. I notice the belt tensioner was wabbeling and since this was a maiden flight i had the canopy off and that was with the tensioner spinning free. Took the tensioner off and notice a bad bearing and this kit came with the new updated bearing. Look like my main belt is also damage. here picture of damage bearing and picture of the other side how it suppose to look One thing i can say with the little time i was flying this was it felt super light and very agile in the air. I really dont care for the landing skid. But now my whole weekend of flying this is grounded |

Luis,
I'm sorry this happened, but you had the belts too tight. The evidence of that is the printing on the belt was rubbed off. You probably also used the belt tensioner. In the manual it states to pull the belt tensioner to the outside of the inner frame. In the build thread we have stated how to tension belts and to not crank down on the screws holding the tail belt idlers as well as the belt tensioner. Scott
