I've just found that a stock beat up canopy last forever. Put a nice fusono on and first flight it crashes. Lol.

I just replaced what I believe are stock canopy grommets with some I got from McMaster for my Logos and boy do they fit great. The white ones were loose in the hole in the canopy which made the canopy loose.

http://www.mcmaster.com/#9600k41

I have grommets on the forward posts and RCBooyas on the rear. I know some people use 4 RCBooyas but I find 2 to hold the canopy on securely and it makes removing the canopy easier.

I also figured out that the swash is actually 135deg and setting the ikon for 180, 45,-45 in the advanced menu fixed the swash travel geometry issues.

I will keep flying it as long as I stop blowing gears out of the thing lol. The gear train is not the greatest that's for sure.

I have the Nick Maxwell motor in it. I have pretty much come to the conclusion not to run it at full power with this motor anymore.

I'm loving my 4035-560 with the new 8 hole fan. But I'm only running the 12T for 1750rpm and ~13deg of collective. Now that I have the gov tuned pretty good I'm seeing peaks of just 100A even when I get stupid with it.

My E700 is going strong. Very powerful even with a 700MX 530Kv.
I like it because it has a different feel in the air probably it has a really good head assembly or geometry but i like it more than other helis i tried.

Never had an E700, but G4 is one of the best.
Not interested in any new "main stream" crap....

still have mine and so far it's been one of the easiest models to set up (massive time saver), flies fantastic at a wide range of head speeds and parts (haven't had to buy much) are usually much less expensive then other 700s on the market. E700 main gear $7-8 vs. Compass 7HV main gear $45!

If I had to replace it, there isn't a clear choice, but if money was no object, then probably either the new Mikado plastic 700, a tried and true 690 or the Protos Max with a bunch of the lightweight fixins to try to get the disc loading as low as possible.

The only way to get the disc loading down closer to the e700 with a Max2 is with longer blades. That thing is HEAVY even with all the lower weight parts.

I'm very happy with how my e700 is flying lately. All I want is for my VTX blades to show up and maybe a FBL unit with a gov that works the way I want.

I'm on my second season flying my E700. It's my favorite. It's one of the quietest drive-trains I've ever heard. I have lots of spare parts, and plan to fly this thing as long as I can. I have the Nick Maxwell motor in mine and it's smooth as butter. The nicest flying heli in my fleet.

Still flying both of mine. Lots of parts but a little low on torque tubes. Are the torque tubes the same size as the g4?

I got my airframe from a former TT team pilot.
Originally flew it with the Vbar, but recently changed it to the cgy and love how it flies.
1600-1650 HS I can fly over 13 minutes. That's more than nitro!

If you are running the extended boom you then use the G4 TT, so if you are using the normal boom you could cut down the G4 TT

Still flying mine and have found nothing I like better so far. HRP says that they should be getting a bunch more parts this month. Hope things are back on track going forward.

I've been watching the Logo700 thread and honestly, even though I love Mikado plastic, I think I like my lightweight e700 better. I do wish the battery tray was essentially mounted upside down to what it is now though.

As far as I can tell, it looks like the new 700 is lighter than the old one but it's only slightly lighter than the fairly heavy Gaui x7 I used to have.

I have a E700 Raptor and still fly it as my main heli. Its been modded in the frame for larger motor, and I added a 3rd main shaft bearing . Flys like a dream at all head speeds.

I have a Blitz Avro boom on mine which is just slightly longer than the Thunder Tiger extended boom and I am using an Align 700 nitro DFC TT. The Align TT might be ever so slightly too long if you use the Thunder Tiger 'long' boom but you could either remove one of the ends and chop a bit off or it might fit if you have the boom fitting out a few mm in the front (drill a new hole for the pin screw).

The Align TT ends fit fine and I used the Align bearings and holders and just added some tape on the outside of the bearing holders so they fit snug in the Raptor (in this case Avro) Boom.
