Default Not sure if my actual head speed is same as log file.

I have a 12S 600 size heli, and I'm not sure if I've done something wrong with the esc setup. In idle up mode (85% flat) the log file says my head speed is only 1500rpm. I'm using the esc governor and the rpm holds very steady. It sounds like its turning fast and it flies pretty good to, plenty of power for tic tocs.

My setup is:

Hobbywing HV 100A V3 esc
Savox 530kv 5065 motor (10 magnets)
3Digi gyro
2x Hyperion 6S HV lipos

gear ratio 8.53:1

I've set the esc end points, and spooled up in governor store mode at 50% throttle. I set the gear ratio and motor poles in the 3Digi software.

As far as I can tell I've set everything correctly, it just seems odd that the log file says its turning so slow.

Have I got something wrong in the 3digi software or have I done something wrong with the esc? Unfortunately I don't have anything to measure the actual rpm.

Hi,
maybe you should show your governor settings here, so that we can have a look at it. Make a Screenshot of the throttle settings tab.

Sorry... My bad I didn't save settings properly. I had 8 pole pairs instead of 5. All is well and my heli is spinning very fast. Its all belt drive so it sounds very quiet even though its at over 2600rpm! That explains the excellent tic toc behaviour.

It is my own construction. I drew it up in solidworks. Some parts are 3d printed. The tail is mostly thunder tiger and the rotor head/swash are align. The frames, transmission, swash servo mount I made myself.
