Default DX9 and 3GX HELP !!

Just a few days ago i became the lucky owner of a DX9 and i like it.

BUT .. i simply cant understand how to set up a helicopter on it,

I somehow managed to set my 450L up on the DX9 with a 3GX but now i cant make it work.

Can someone please tell me what i do to get the swash to move correctly when using a DX9 and 3GX.

I dont understand the Channel Assignment menu .. do i make changes in there?

My servos are set up according to the 3GX manual .. Pit = Left servo and AIL = Right servo and ELE = to the elevator.

So what am i doing wrong .. !?

Yeah .. there is some gettin' used to with this new radio.

thanks in advance

Never mind - i figured it out somehow.

First of all i had (in mental desperation) switched 2 wires on the 3GX that made it difficult to have the servo move correct.

So everything went ok until the gyro setting. But AUX2 was the magic word and also that problem was solved. So my old Gaui 550 is prepped for flight now.

Testflying the darn thing as soon ad the weather calms down. My 450L did its maiden today with the DX9 and after a few landings to tweak the gyro gain the bird was solid. But after 10 minutes my fingers was so shaky that i din't want to use the second pack and "Hurry'ed" inside again. Quite clever that houses are hollow.

Default Please help me Sweetfrost

Sweetfrost,
I have an Align T-Rex 600E Pro DFC with an Align 3GX and a Turnigy 9XR that I can't get figured out.
On the 3GX, the ESC, and all servos are plugged in in the order of: TRPEA, so as to physically match the description on the 3GX.

Considering, should my radio be set up reflecting THR - ch.1, RUD -ch.2, PIT - ch.3, ELE - ch.4 etc?

And what about the channel order in the Radio Setup screen?

In any case, if you could provide me with what you have in your "mixer," or better yet, send me photos, I would be in debt to you
Thank You so very much in advance for your help with this.

Well i'm not familiar with the Turnigy Tx nor am i saying that my settings are 100% correct but it works for me on both my 550 and 450L. So here's the port assignment on my DX9:

1 THRO: Throttle
2 AILE: Aileron
3 ELEV: Elevator
4 RUDD: Rudder
5 GEAR: Inhibit
6 AUX1: Pitch
7 AUX2: Gyro

Important: When using sats directly on the 3GX and not a Rx the gyro needs to be on AUX2 on the transmitter. And again this is when using Spektrum.

And i am not using any "mixing" other than the swash-mix.

You can also try watching the FreddyCanFly videos on Youtube - maybe you find his explanations easier to follow.

hope this can clarify things a little and it works out for you.

regards

Ok that takes care of the rx port assignments, but what do you set for the Channel Input Config?
Help would be appreciated as I have not used a 3gx before. Thanks in advance.

You match channel assignment as per TX assignment. 3GX assignment in manual is for example, if your TX differs like yours match them.
Pick helli mode, ccpm standard 120. channel 4 for pitch servo. With sats channel 7 is rudder gain. If you use a separate receiver and patch cables to the 3GX rudder gain is what ever port you plug the yellow wire into. 6 or 7 and make sure those switches are assigned
