Default Tight mesh with XL clutch

Not finding much out there an still fairly new to Synergy. I have an n7 that I just installed the new XL Clutch in. It came with a new pinion as well. After I get everything together, I noticed the mesh between the pinion and the main gear to be real tight.

I am not seeing where I can adjust the motor to move forward. Before I start adding shims I just want to make sure that the stock main gear will work with the new pinion in the XL Clutch. Or is there a better way to go about this?

Thanks

Stock gear is fine, I've had to add shims to both my n7s to get proper gear mesh with the XL and normal clutch, didn't make a difference.

Sounds good what did you use for shims?

I forget if it was the n7 or the n5, but one of them the shims on the kit were too loose (stripped a main gear) and without them it was too tight, and I ended up cutting up a soda can to get the right shim size. You don't want a huge amount of play, just a slight tick back and forth is what you're looking for.

I got the XL clutch awhile back but I can't remember if I got the right pinion that goes with it. Is there anyway I can tell if I have the right one?

They all come with the right pinion. It has the same pinion as the stock clutch.

Also, what is the right gear ratio for the gov when using the XL clutch?

I had to use 2 motor shims on my motor or else the pinion put too much pressure on the main gear and inhibited the main shaft from turning freely.
