Default Beast solution

Well guys after many hours of reading threads and hours on the pc I have given up on the ZYX fbl unit. I hit the buy button for another Beast X for my 450.

I have had great success with the Beast on my 500. Program it once and then forget about it.

I did finally get the all the components to come together to update the firmware on the ZYX. Although you really never know if the update actually took, since there is not any indication of a successful update.

After all the trouble the problem still remained. The collective movement of the servos worked and adjusted correctly. But the cyclic movement and program adjustment did not work right. I think the firmware got corrupted somehow.

I guess it all comes down to the old adage: You get what you pay for and there is no free lunch. ( Well maybe there is a free lunch if you think like Obama, at least until all the "rich" run out of money.)

Anyway thanks to all of you who replyed to my frustrated ramblings. Good luck with your units.

The Tarot PC program is a little buggy. When I make changes to pitch or cyclics in the program I have to place mouse arrow on slider and click to make changes go thru to gyro. To do the upgrade you have to take the ini. file out of the chinese folder and place it in another folder for the up grade to work. It will let you know if the upgrade completes.

Yes, there is a confirmation when update is complete.
+1 on the Chinese folder thing.

Well you could always sell it, I am sure someone will pick it up.
