Default Vbar Neo throttle servo for nitro

I'm real green on Mikado but I guess that the Vbar Neo requires a 1520us/333hz servo for throttle on nitro & no other frequency or centering will work?

If that's correct can someone tell me where I missed this in Mikado's documentation? All I read was to use a servo faster than your cyclic. So what servos do I have that are faster than my cyclics, I have an extra tail servo. I thought this was a perk in the Mikado design & flexibility I didn't have to buy a throttle servo! Now it's the weekend & there's no LHS with HV servos, so no nitro this weekend, that's less than ideal...

Pretty much any 1520/333 servo will work. It can be the same as your cyclic. Lot of people run an old Futaba s series 1520 tail servo but I think those are 6v but if you had a inline voltage reducer you could still use it.

Sorry I dont know where the documentation is. If it makes you feel better I purchased a tail servo for my throttle than realized it wouldnt work. After, I think I read it in a forum post you need 1520. Anyway, I have been using mks 1250 on my heli and planes. They have been great.

Not mentioned in any of the official manuals, but was discussed in the Vstabi forum. Same as for cyclic servos the Neo only supports 1520 servos.

I would say if the servo outputs come from the micro controller then it would be possible to make it work with narrow pulse width servos as it has been done by another manufacturer.

Mikado perhaps see it as a potential user error risk they don't want to take.

Sorry just now getting back to a computer. it's tax day & lots of money going this way & that....

I got a servo ordered from Amain so that'll fix the issue. I just can't understand why Mikado would suggest using a throttle servo that would be faster than your cyclics & not consider supporting a narrowband servo or at least making a note that it could not support 760us on throttle.

Anyway, I did say I'm green to Mikado, so maybe I don't quite know what to expect. For me it looks like rain most of the week, I might get to try this all out on Saturday or Sunday, well see.

Still looking forward to this, it's a very unique system.
