Default STINGER CRASH

Yea...like the title implies, I had a pretty hard crash yesterday. I still hadn't figured out just what went wrong. Anyway, it was the first flight of the day, as usual, I take off & keep it smooth & simple at first, then I idle up for a couple maneuvers. Nothing special, rolls, loops, stall turns & inverted hovering. After a while I decided to bring it in to check the fuel level when all at a sudden I here a loud fluttering sound then it flew strait in to the ground fast ! The heli wouldn't respond to my frantic inputs. I didn't lose engine power, in fact the engine was running after it crashed. I also do voltage checks before & after flights.

The damage list was rather lengthy. After many hours of re building, all I like is a new RX & skids & I'll be ready for a test flight. Luckily I had the parts to re-build it. I just looked on Gohbee's web site & I noticed that many key parts are on back order. I'll be checking every now & then for availability on some stuff I want. Had I not had a shelve full of parts, I'd be grounded. That aint good. I'll strive to keep the stinger flying but you know like I know...if you fly a lot, your gonna need parts.

Anyway, this time next week, I'll be setting up a JR Vibe 50.
Oh yea ... below is pics. of the Stinger mis-hap. enjoy !

I have seen/heard many helies do that. Most likely culprit, a link popped off on the head.

The 3D Frenzy that Gohbee is carrying is very similar to the Vibe 50 that you are working on, but the Frenzy has some part compatibility with the Stinger so you would need to stock less spares.

David is putting together a BIG parts order right now to get all spare parts for all of the Stingers back in stock ASAP.

Hey Jeff, That sounds great !
I'll be looking for the in coming parts at Gohbee. I'm relieved to here that. I had two perfect flying Stingers a month ago. Due to worn out parts & my crash the other day, I'm down to one. I like having two Stingers around. They sure do fly great.
