I am a bit old fashioned regarding radio stuff, so I might be asking some big nonsense, but does the Graupner need a receiver to conect it to a Brain or its just a matter of some sat just like Spektrum? As far as I know Jeti needs a custom rx as it has a lot of proprietary functions. Is it the same case with Graupner tx?

Yes you need a receiver to connect to the brain2, just as you would with any system besides Spektrum. The connection from the receiver to the Brain2 is a serial connection. All of the flight controls go through one port and all of the telemetry information goes through another port.
This is, as far as I know, the same as with Jeti, it doesn't need anything custom. Just a specific range of receivers they make. It's similar to S.bus from Futaba for X.Bus for JR. With the addition of a second cable capable of transferring telemetry data.

A Spektrum satellite is just a receiver without a demultiplexer to break out the individual channels. In that respect, it's the same as the serial connections from other receivers. Ironically, the Graupner receiver SUMD output plugs into the SAT1 port on the Brain 2 when configuring it for telemetry. I believe the entire line of Graupner receivers supports SUMD and telemetry.

Thank you guys! Got it. So its not quite practical on small helis, but a great stuff on bigger expensive machines. I am still wondering if going the Jeti or Graupner way or continue with the unbeatable inexpensivness of my trusty dx7se. It was modded heavily a long time ago with gimball ball bearings, teflon to the collective, higher voltage rf regulator to use it with lipos and on the edge of it capacitie still going strong for 3D. A bit more problematic for simming though...

https://www.graupnerusa.com/gr12l-SU...ver-S1037.html As for the DX7se, doesn't it only have two flight modes? With the Graupner MZ-18, you can have up to six flight modes. The price on the MZ-18 is hard to beat too.

The DX7se has normal, IU1, IU2 and TH. With some mixes flight modes can be linked to banks in Spartan or Brain/Ikon. That just saved the tx for me. Asigning function to switches is very limited, but I use flight modes and TH only, lol |

We have full support for HoTT integration for a few months.
Interfacing is pretty easy and works well. You can check more details: http://manual.spirit-system.com/inde...tt_Integration
