I set max HS to the HS I want in in Idle 2, in my case 2200. Then Idle 2 throttle curve is flat 100%.
idle 1 is 2000 so I tach it to determine Idle 1 throttle % that gets me 2000 and set flat. Then normal is 1850, set 0,96,96,96 throttle %. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On manual is write to power On first vbar and after ESC. This is on ly for initial setup? I'm asking this because i use a WR BEC so when i connect 12s lipos i power up ALL at the same time.

Use NiMh 4 Cell pack to power VBar Any voltage over 6V will also burn up YGE Program Card.

In_to_the_Mystic_2003,
Thank you very much for the how-to doc! I have a T-rex 600 Pro with 600mx motor. Just purchased the YGE 90HV just to check it out, even though my Hobbywing 120HV was working fine I was using Hyperion phase sensor and it was getting quite a number of errors in v-bar. Installed the ferrite rings on the output leads on my WR super BEC. I also went a bit crazy and wrapped it in foil and put another layer of shrink on. No errors now. woot I have YGE on top of nose, WR on one side of nose and v-bar controller on the other. The layout is clean as a whistle, but every thing is quite close. I have my throttle curves set at 96/98/100 and max RPM @ 2300 in v-bar. Using 10khz, 18 degrees in YGE When I switch from the idle1 to idle2, the RPM goes up a teensy bit. Almost undetectably. But the power is way greater. Any ideas there? Flying 5 minutes of beat-the-crap-out-of-it and easily attaining 80% rule using Voltz 3700 35C packs. The ESC temp at end of flight is high 90's (it was 50'ish today), the motor 130'ish and the packs 110'ish. Relative to the Hobbywing setup (which was default save for spool up):
I have 2 of these 600MX motors and both vibe terribly. One so bad that it throws sparks when free spinning. The spinny parts hits the non-spinny part at one particularly bad resonance at 3/4'ish throttle They make good power, but dang, that is atrocious. Brand friggen new, too. Sigh. |

On mine the RPM diff is 100 RPM but it is so smooth it's hard to tell. If there truly is no difference between Idle 1 and Idle 1 then VBar Gov Max Throttle is wrong, too high setting.

I don't think Throttle % is linear with VBar Gov. headspeed.

I can easily hear 100 RPM difference (or could with other controllers as they tend to 'snap to'). So perhaps it is the silky smooth controller masking it
Either way, I also have noted the vbar's nonlinear response to TC percentages. There is the math part and then there is the reality part. And the two have not been the same in past experience. Perhaps this was fixed is recent firmwares? |

So, I finally got my 90hv setup and the spool up is a bit faster than I would like. I programmed heli middle and plane middle. I take it, if I drop to heli low and plane middle, that should slow things down a bit?
I'm slightly disappointed that Mikado removed the spool up speed option from the v-bar gov. |

Your VBar Gov performance is going to stink on Heli anything.
If the initial kick is hard then startup power. I think you can still adjust after 600 RPM VBar control in nitro mode. Plane Fast is what you want Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I slapped the night blades on and tried Heli low + Plane Middle and the kick was strong but then the start up was VERY slow. I had missed the start power option. I suppose I'll have experiment with that. It was interesting to hear what I can only assume was the switch over to v-bar control of the ESC.
So, you're recommending Plane Middle + Plane Fast? BTW, this is on a 12s Logo 600 with an Xera 4030-3Y and 11T |

Plane Fast + Plane Fast. I have a 4035 Xera on 12S.
Try Startup 2%, make sure you setup VBar Motor Start and Motor Full properly or the startup does not work properly. Vbar Gov Gain 25% cyclic and collective default to start. Your heli has higher power to weight so my values are not going to apply Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just tried that and I'm not sure my settings took. It did an "instaspoolup". I'm actually amazed it didn't strip a gear or something.
This program card bothers me. Sometimes it beeps the motor to confirm and other times it doesn't. I really wish I could use my ProgDisc with this thing. |

You have to setup motor start motor Full on the bench. Look at the 5.2 Vbar gov videos then read my instructions above.
This is not like a jive, requires some time to get right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
